‘Menendez Brothers’ Series Rising Star Cooper Koch Is Getting Awards Season Buzz

The power of not being on Instagram is that while Cooper Koch is the star of one of this year’s biggest TV hits, he’s largely shielded from the attention.  “Luckily, no,” he says, when asked if he’s had many fan interactions. “Unless you run into me at Erewhon.” The Los Angeles native stars as Erik Menendez in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” which tells the story of the Beverly Hills-based brothers who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989. The show debuted as the number-one series on Netflix worldwide and has led to renewed interest in the brothers’ case. (The case has been reopened, with a resentencing hearing set for December.) “Monsters” has been getting Golden Globes and Emmys buzz since its premiere in September, which Koch is taking in stride. Cooper Koch “That’s what people have said, but I’m sort of not really believing them. It’s something in this industry, people say things or talk a lot, and then you will get let down. You’ll audition for something and you’ll be in the last sort of mix of it and they’re like, ‘This part’s yours. You’ve got it. It’s going to happen.’ And then you don’t get

Manuela, New York’s Buzzy New Restaurant, Brings an Artful Approach to Dining

After several weeks of friends and family, one private Gucci party, and a lot of anticipation, Manuela has opened the doors to its colorful space to the public in New York. Located on Wooster and Prince in SoHo, the restaurant is the second location of the concept from the Artfarm hospitality team, which was founded by Hauser & Wirth’s Manuela Wirth and Iwan Wirth. In its New York space, Manuela complements Hauer & Wirth’s exhibition programming with a room of art that reads like an immersive group show, presented in the relaxed setting of a restaurant. The design features a custom rug by Rashid Johnson, ceramic tabletops by Mary Heilmann, and murals by Rita Ackermann, Lorna Simpson, Pat Steir and Uman. Mika Rottenberg created the room’s focal point, a light installation fashioned from recycled plastic mushroom lamps and vines that twist up from the floor and wind overhead the bar. Additional artwork in the space includes pieces by Jenny Holzer, George Condo, Cindy Sherman and Nicole Eisenman. Inside the dining room at Manuela. “I think you’d have to be blind to not feel some sort of inspiration by seeing all of this art, being immersed in this space every day,” says head chef Sean

It’s very fabulous,” she said. “This is my first time wearing Tory,” said Hunt, who stars as Gilda Radner in the new “Saturday Night” movie. “I’m obsessed with Tory, I feel like she’s such a cool New York brand. Ariana Grande, Reese Witherspoon and More Attend the WSJ Innovators Dinner at MoMA in New York

On Tuesday night in New York, the WSJ Innovator Awards brought an influential and wide-ranging crowd out to the Museum of Modern Art. The evening began with a cocktail in the museum’s lobby that sometimes left the stars star-struck: Ariana Grande’s mouth dropped in awe as she entered the room while WNBA player A’ja Wilson posed with glammed-up New York Liberty mascot Ellie the Elephant. (Ellie was a popular photo op throughout cocktail hour.) Soon, Grande was holding court where the carpet delivered guests back into cocktail hour. Grande posed for photos with Reese WItherspoon and Tim Cook as photographers, handlers and bodyguards encircled them — not your usual New York party photo trio. “You look gorgeous,” said Charli XCX, holding Grande’s hands as she took in the star’s Vivienne Westwood Bridal look. Grande was soon joined by her “Wicked” costar Cynthia Erivo, who was dressed in green for the evening. The pair walked off hand-in-hand to the carpet, where they found “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu. The duo were on hand to present Chu his WSJ Innovator award later in the evening. The director was being honored alongside “Saturday Night Live,” Cook, Marc Jacobs, Charli XCX, the WNBA and Salma Hayek Pinault

Getting Ready With Brandon Flynn in Tanner Fletcher for the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards

“I have a big ruffle around my neck and I just feel served up,” said Brandon Flynn on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards Monday evening. “I feel like I’m ready to be devoured.”  The actor, best known for the series “13 Reasons Why,” was the guest of Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, the design duo behind Tanner Fletcher. The pair were up for the Shop With Google American Emerging Designer of the Year award at this year’s CFDAs, and for the occasion they dressed Flynn in a coordinating look of an ivory poplin blouse and  brown striped wool suit. “I feel so honored to be invited into Tanner and Fletcher’s curious world,” Flynn said. “Their style embodies such a rich fascination with what came before, what’s to come, tied up in a beautiful big bow — and that’s why they call it the present.” “It’s such an honor to be nominated for CFDAs emerging designer of the year,” Richie and Kasell said. “We’re so thankful to have had Brandon Flynn as our guest. We love showing up to events like these bringing big queer energy. This is just the start for Tanner Fletcher.” The trio got ready at the brand’s 1850’s studio,

GloRilla Performs at Coach and Amazon Fashion Official CFDA After Party

After the CFDA Awards, what is there to do but party?  Coach and Amazon Fashion rose to the occasion, hosting the official after party at the Central Park Boathouse. This year marked the return of after parties to the CFDA night since the pandemic — turns out, fashion people are as eager to party late on a Monday night as ever. Coach’s Stuart Vevers made the rounds, greeting guests as they arrived. Angel Reese, Suni Lee, Winnie Harlow, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Alix Earle, Paloma Elsesser, Prabal Gurung, LaQuan Smith and more all attended, and many of them went on to make a second stop at Willy Chavarria’s party downtown later in the night. Influencers who didn’t make the cut for the actual awards ceremony were early on the scene, getting their content in and lapping up coupes of Champagne. Earle, who’d attended the awards in Hervé Léger with designer Michelle Ochs, arrived post ceremony, posing for photos as other influencers looked on.  Charles Melton waved off photos, despite being a guest of Coach to the CFDAs, dressed by Coach, attending the Coach after party. Jonathan Simkhai was having a better night, dancing around and, at one point, dropping to do a one-armed push up.  Trays

Getting in Costume for ‘Hulaween’ With Host Cat Cohen

“Sometimes the dress comes first, right?” Comedian Cat Cohen was in the early stages of getting in costume to host the annual Hulaween benefit for the New York Restoration Project on Friday night. So far, she had the black dress that was the base of her look for the evening, riffing off this year’s “Hulaween In the Garden of Good and Evil” theme. “I had this fabulous black dress at my disposal and I thought, what if we go for a raven of death kind of vibe — but make it fashion,” said Cohen. “I can’t wait to see how it comes together. Because I don’t really know, but we’ll make it work,” she added. “It’s gonna be a last-minute slay. I got some black nail polish. Gonna do a fun makeup look. I’m very excited.” The final look, with the addition of a dramatic headpiece and wings, came together with the help of stylist Aryeh Lappin, makeup artist Rommy Najar, and hair stylist Adam Maclay. Cohen came onboard to host through longtime friend Sophie Von Haselberg, the daughter of NYRP founder and Hulaween host Bette Midler. Here’s Why the Omnilux LED Face Mask Is an Anti-aging Secret Weapon for Any Skin Type

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Great skin doesn’t happen overnight. As much as we want to believe that a singular anti-aging serum or face cream will turn back the clock, experts agree that the best way to tackle skin concerns like fine lines and dark spots is to stay loyal to a well-rounded skin care routine — and that’s not restricted to topicals. To up the ante in your wrinkle-fighting, radiance-boosting regimen, consider LED light therapy. Regular treatments are required for max benefits, but with at-home light therapy masks getting more high-tech by the minute, you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg (and hours of your time) on a professional session. Instead, our WWD Shop editors reach for the dermatologist-recommended Omnilux red light therapy mask. While there are plenty of light therapy treatments you can try, red light is your best bet for rejuvenating your skin and preventing future signs of aging. “Red light therapy works at the cellular level to stimulate new collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles,” explains Houston-based board-certified dermatologist Dr. Andrea Suarez. “It has anti-inflammatory effects

Inside The RealReal’s and Conservation International’s National Consignment Day Celebration

The RealReal and Conservation International got the conversation started before guests even walked through the front door of The Noortwyck in the West Village on Wednesday night. The dress code was “conversation pieces,” and the crowd happily obliged the request to show off their favorite thrifted and vintage finds — many, naturally, purchased through the online consignment platform. The party was also an opportunity to celebrate the launch of The RealReal’s Consignment Day Celebrity closet sale, which includes 230 contributions from the personal collections of Kate Moss, Julianne Moore, Natasha Lyonne, Rebecca Hall, Emmy Rossum and more. The sale will benefit Conservation International, which helps protect ecosystems worldwide, with an additional $25,000 donation from The RealReal. “The whole idea is to just really bring attention to the importance of consigning and that closed loop model for fashion,” said Conservation International’s senior director of brand and partnerships Katie Russell. “One of the best things you can do in terms of lowering your environmental impact on the environment through fashion and textiles is to buy consignment; use and resell the clothes you love — and wear them for as long and as many times as possible,” added Conservation International’s head of sustainable fashion Virginia Borcherdt.

After a year off due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes, the Museum of Modern Art’s Film Benefit, presented by Chanel, returned this week to honor Samuel L. Jackson. The 16th annual event had fashion and film buffs alike rubbing elbows inside the museum, many dressed in their Chanel finest, swapping stories of their favorite of Jackson’s movies. Jackson was toasted by close friends Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Walton Goggins and Kenny Leon, as well as his wife, LaTanya Richardson Jackson. Longtime family friends, the Washington family came out to support Jackson, including Denzel’s son Malcolm Washington, who directs Jackson in his upcoming movie “The Piano Lesson,” and daughters Olivia Washington and Katia Washington.  Other celebrity guests included Amanda Seyfried, Sofia Coppola, Thomas Mars, Meghann Fahy, Danielle Deadwyler, Natasha Lyonne, LL Cool J, Dianna Agron, Emily Mortimer, Alessandro Nivola, Francesca Scorsese, Nicole Ari Parker, Molly Ringwald, Andrew Rannells, Iris Apatow, Sam Nivola, Phoebe Tonkin and Barbara Bush. For the occassion, Jackson turned to an old favorite: Armani. “It’s an Armani night: shoes and pants and coat and shirt. Chelsea Clinton, Coco Rocha and More Help American Ballet Theatre Kick Off the Fall Season

For the annual American Ballet Theatre fall gala, the objective is simple: support one of the best dance companies in the world, and wear something fun. “I wanted to look like a ballerina,” said “Real Housewife” Melissa Gorga, who was attending the event for the first time in a glitzy Bronx and Banco dress. “It’s a little different for me; I went a little out of my comfort zone,” she added. “I think this is the cutesy, demure vibe.”  Romantic looks — tulle, sequins and florals — ruled the evening, whether in the form of a rainbow sequined cape, Schiaparelli brooch on a tuxedo, or dramatic gown with a train. Coco Rocha was an early arrival, striking dramatic poses with her young daughter in front of the step-and-repeat. “She has an expert teacher,” one photographer called out, charmed by the mother-daughter appearance.  “You get to play dress up, you get to come out, you get to see some beautiful things, some beautiful people. I always say this is my market research,” said designer Michelle Ochs, who arrived alongside dancer Lauren Bonfiglio, both dressed in the same Hervé Léger look. “It’s my night out, so I enjoy being able to sit back and watch someone’s

It’s been a busy last few months for Beyoncé. Weeks after debuting her collaboration with Levi’s — the campaign for which alone generated $5 million in media impact value in 48 hours — and months after launching her whiskey brand SirDavis in partnership with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the multihyphenate is bringing her latest fragrance to market. Called Cé Lumière, the scent is available for preorder on Beyoncé’s website in the U.S. and Canada. It retails for $160. The eau de parfum includes top notes of Madagascar black pepper and Italian mandarin; heart notes of jasmine sambac absolute and rhubarb, and base notes of Indonesian patchouli and skin musk. Cé Lumière follows Cé Noir, the fragrance Beyoncé launched last year, which followed the entertainer’s tour for her album “Renaissance,” and before the subsequent film “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.” Since then Beyoncé has also entered a new musical era with her country album, “Cowboy Carter.” Beyoncé Cé Lumière is a clear nod to that album, hence the golden desert hue of the bottle. “Any venture or project that Beyoncé does, there is always a clear intent. On Tuesday, Gucci gave a preview of one of New York’s most-anticipated new restaurants to a crowd of logo-adorned friends to celebrate the brand’s latest campaign.  Officially opening next week, Prince Street restaurant Manuela, from the Hauser & Wirth team, opened its doors early in honor of Gucci’s “We Will Always Have London” campaign, which features Debbie Harry and Kelsey Lu. The campaign, shot by Nan Goldin, features the Gucci Blondie bag, which has been reimagined by Sabato De Sarno for the cruise 2025 collection. Darling new nepo couple Iris Apatow and Sam Nivola arrived together and kissed for the camera before coupling up in a corner booth. Jemima Kirke, Beverly Nguyen, Quil Lemons, Kimberly Drew, Dara Allen, June Ambrose, Tina Leung, Zanna Roberts Rassi and Leandra Medine mingled about as highballs of a ginger and peach drink passed by. Lu and Harry posed together before Harry sat down to chat prior to dinner. “I was surprised at first that they would consider me and it’s been remarkably easy,” Harry said. “I loved working with Nan. Megan Thee Stallion, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cole Escola Honored at God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards

The main draw of the God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards is always do-gooding. This year, however, the venue was equally as enticing for many guests — which is saying a lot, considering it was quite a commute for most.  After several years downtown, the annual benefit, now in its 18th year, took over The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine for the Monday night affair.  “We wanted to mix it up,” said Michael Kors, God’s Love’s longtime supporter. “We’re almost at 40 years with God’s Love, and it’s really crazy when I think how things can come full circle. We started on the West Side in the ’70s, in the basement of a church, and now here we are in this cathedral. The organization has stepped up to the bat, regardless of what is thrown their way. And that’s due to the amazing, amazing volunteers. These volunteers are unbelievable. And the employees are just, I mean, it’s family. It really is family.” The night recognized Sarah Jessica Parker with the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Philanthropy, Megan Thee Stallion with the GenLove Award for Outstanding Philanthropy and Cole Escola with the Golden Heart Award for Special Achievements in the Arts.  “All

Merit Beauty’s First Fragrance Delivers Old Money Elegance With a Modern Twist

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. In overcrowded beauty aisles where launches are a dime a dozen, Merit Beauty stands out for a minimalistic approach that prioritizes fewer, better products. Today, the cult-favorite line is expanding into the fragrance category with the arrival of Merit Beauty’s Retrospect L’Extrait de Parfum, a potent, classic perfume that our editors have been test-driving for weeks. Merit applied the same thoughtful, less-is-more ethos to its 2021 launch when developing the Retrospect L’Extrait de Parfum. Working with renowned nose Fanny Bol, the fragrance took more than 2 years and 200 revisions to get it just right. In an exclusive interview with WWD earlier this month, Merit Beauty founder Katherine Power explained that the perfume was designed to “evoke personal memories and nostalgia, while still feeling modern.” The name of the scent taps into that desire to nod to classic perfumes in a way that feels new and now. Retrospect is nuanced; there are notes of bergamot, pear, jasmine, and musk, plus aldehydes that are inherent to classic perfumes like Chanel No. 5. This concoction makes Retrospect read more sophisticated than the gourmands

The Academy Museum Gala Is Now One of the Most Powerful Red Carpets

Saoirse Ronan: A- Saoirse Ronan We often don’t love a self-tanning moment on the carpet — you know who you are — but on Ronan, with this outfit, it’s adding a sense of drama that makes her look incredible. This soft, uber-pretty glam balances out the sculptural, goth-like quality of the dress.  Demi Moore: B+ Demi Moore She’s channeling the “Sue” version of her character in “The Substance” here — she looks youthful and timeless. This is yet again another comeback for Moore and she’s choosing classic pieces from the golden era of Hollywood to do so. This deep V-neck sequined ultra-fitted long dress, accessorized with perfect diamonds, would’ve looked great back then as it does now.  Kaia Gerber: A Kaia Gerber Gerber takes this “My Fair Lady”-esque archival Givenchy look and gives it a “Westworld” spin, with the curled hairstyle and choker necklace. She nails the look. Meg Ryan: B+ Meg Ryan A floor-length floral dress brings back tricky memories of Laura Ashley and other floral escapades. But leave it to Jonathan Anderson to turn a faux pas into a yes. The volume is not super exaggerated on Ryan — it looks great on her.  Colman Domingo: B+ Colman Domingo Domingo can wear basically anything — it just works. When you bring a purse

The actress is on a short break from rehearsal for a production of “The Blood Quilt,” which begins preview performances on Oct. 30. “The Juilliard School is in front of me and Lincoln Center’s at my back,” says Watson, surveying her immediate surroundings. “This is probably as New York theater as it gets.” A few hours later, the actress would head downtown to another hallowed hall of New York Off-Broadway, the Public Theater, where she’s currently starring in “Good Bones.” The production is the second staging of the newest play written by “Fat Ham” playwright and Pulitzer winner James Ijames, and celebrated its opening night earlier in the week. “Opening night was so electric,” says Watson. “We all just felt really good about where we got the play to. James was rewriting as we were doing the show, so it wasn’t set; it was in a way sort of a workshop,” she adds. “He was still finding [the story], and we were still finding our characters. Even into previews, so much had been changing nightly up until about the fifth last preview,” Watson continues.

Cher and Tyra Banks Stop by Burberry’s Flagship Reopening Party in New York

On Wednesday night, Burberry celebrated the reopening of its New York flagship with Cher and a roomful of outerwear, worn by VIPs like “It’s Always Burberry Weather” fall campaign star Cara Delevingne, Tyra Banks, Jodie Turner-Smith, and other friends of the brand. “It’s super exciting to be back here,” said designer Daniel Lee, holding court in the center of the boutique’s ground floor. “We’ve really been working on it since I started at Burberry two years ago. It’s great to see it back.” Asked about his plans while in New York, the designer — dressed in plaid and a leather puffer jacket — said he was planning to attend the Armani show the following evening. “I’m a big fan of Armani,” said Lee. “It’s really an incredible inspiration to see someone — particularly now when there’s so much fast-paced change — who’s been so consistent for such a long time, and has really kind of perfected and honed a particular look and body of work.” Jodie Turner-Smith, Daniel Lee and Cara Delevingne. To listen to the podcast, CLICK HERE. Who isn’t buoyed by a good hair day? Carolyn Aronson took this one step further. Not only has It’s a 10 Haircare transformed the hair of millions of women, but it’s turned the Latina founder and chief executive officer — a former foster child and hairdresser — into a trailblazing billionaire. At age 51, the entrepreneur bought out her partner in 2017, and by 2022, the brand was selling 17 million bottles and clocking $500 million in annual sales. Today, It’s a 10 Haircare is the largest Hispanic and female-owned brand in the hair care category, and the global brand is carried in 117 countries. Aronson was selected for Entrepreneur’s 100 Women of Influence in 2022; Forbes’ 50 Over 50 list in 2023 (the only hair care brand to do so), as well as the Inc. Female Founder 250 list of 2024. Victoria’s Secret Returns to the Catwalk With a New Attitude

Victoria’s Secret put its angel wings back on — hitting the catwalk again after a six-year hiatus.  The return was loud and proud, with A-list celebrities, influencers and a multigenerational, all-female musical lineup of Cher, Tyla and Lisa turning out for the live event at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.  Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Grace Elizabeth, Taylor Hill and Tyra Banks, who last stepped out for Victoria’s Secret in 2005, all took their turn on the catwalk.  The show opened with fantastical pink princess looks headed up by Gigi Hadid, while iridescent purple ensembles channeled female superheroes. Rock ‘n’ roll black lace and leather, as seen on surprise supermodel icon Kate Moss, mixed more everyday styles with the brand’s signature sexy lingerie look (toward the end of the show, there was also a small amount of athleticwear of leggings and zip-up hoodies in the mix), before the show closed to Cher’s “Believe” with pink and red holiday-themed ensembles. There were wings galore, in many shapes, sizes and materials like feathers, candy wrapper tulle, sequins and more. But the brand really flexed with its mega cast of models, filled with Victoria’s Secret models and icons from over the decades. Streamed live on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Amazon

From the Pink Carpet to the Front Row, Here’s What You Didn’t See on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Livestream

After a six-year hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show made its much-anticipated return on Tuesday night at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. And the brand rolled out all the pink stops for the occasion, which aimed to put the spotlight on inclusion, diversity, and the women who make all the magic happen. Although the mid-autumn temperatures weren’t the best match for the unofficial under-dressed dress code, every model, celebrity, influencer, and editor who trekked out to the venue seemed thrilled to be part of the action. The night offered a little something for everyone: performances by Lisa, Tyla and Cher; appearances by Victoria’s Secret veterans like Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Gigi Hadid; show debuts for supermodel Kate Moss and daughter Lila Moss, as well as Ashley Graham, and front row faces including athletes Angel Reese and Suni Lee; rappers Ice Spice, Cardi B, Tyga, and Queen Latifah; actresses Phoebe Dynevor and Jodie Turner-Smith; La La Anthony; Bethan Hardison; James Turlington, and more. “My rose keeps trying to say hi to everyone,” said “Bachelor Nation” star Hannah Godwin, adjusting the rose embellishment at the center of her Camila Coelho Collection dress. “Basically, [the Victoria’s Secret fashion show] was my mom and

Chef Daniel Humm Opens Clemente Bar, Paying Homage to Artist Francesco Clemente

In some ways, Clemente Bar began with a simple, perhaps even off-the-cuff, comment between close friends. Painter Francesco Clemente told Daniel Humm, the Eleven Madison Park chef, that he’d always wanted a drink named after him — in a similar vein of the Bellini, an homage to Renaissance painter Giovanni Bellini. Instead, Clemente now has a entire bar named after him. “It’s turned into a big project,” says Humm, the afternoon of the bar’s public opening this month. “It turned into really a labor of love.” Humm has opened the doors to Clemente Bar, located just upstairs from the three Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park. The bar features two new large-scale paintings that Clemente created for the space, as well as a ceiling fresco. “It was very powerful to be with Francesco when he first saw it,” Humm says. “He obviously made the paintings, but then when he first saw them installed, which was two weeks ago, he was really overwhelmed by how beautiful it turned out.” “I imagine everything I make to come from another place and another time. A place where knowledge is pleasure and pleasure is knowledge,” Clemente says of his inspiration for creating the new pieces for the hospitality project. He

Alessandra Ambrosio on Her Return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: ‘The Feeling Backstage Is Electrifying’

Alessandra Ambrosio first walked the Victoria’s Secret runway more than two decades ago. Now, she’s making her return to the iconic catwalk in the brand’s revived fashion show, streaming on Prime Video. “The feeling backstage is electrifying,” Ambrosio tells WWD following rehearsals on Monday. “It’s exciting to be back. The best part for me is to see the girls. It’s been seven years since I did my last Victoria’s Secret show, and just to be backstage, it feels like a big Angels reunion.” Ambrosio was one of the brand’s contracted spokesmodels from 2004 to 2017, and was the first face of Victoria’s Secret Pink before being named an Angel. She walked in 17 fashion shows for the brand, and even after all these years, the supermodel admits that she still gets butterflies before hitting the runway. “There’s no way not to get nervous, because it’s live,” Ambrosio explains. “Anything can happen.” The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marks a major moment for the brand as it seeks to redefine its image. Following its cancellation in 2019, the fashion show will be produced by women for the very first time. To listen to the episode, CLICK HERE. When Jane Lauder’s grandmother Estée Lauder began her eponymous beauty company, it was based on the one-on-one personal experience of knowing the customer or the client. Lauder pointed to the Clinique card catalog as an example, where sales associates would note product recommendations and purchases as well as personal details about the shopper. In 2024, however, artificial intelligence (AI) can make connections even more personal. In fact, Lauder said she believes that AI supports products and the consumer experience. “Sometimes we think about data being impersonal and taking away from that personal experience, but what I actually found is that beauty is personal and personal is really driven by data,” said Lauder. “I share with my team that the technology of the past was that vertically integrated tech companies had the

Priyanka Chopra Jonas Fronts Perfect Moment Collaboration With Johnnie Walker Blue Label

This winter season, luxury skiwear brand Perfect Moment is heading to the slopes with a new ski partner. Johnnie Walker Blue Label has announced a collaboration with Perfect Moment, fronted by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, that pays homage to après ski with the launch of limited-edition scotch whiskey Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ice Chalet. “Whenever we go on a ski trip, my favorite [moment] is when everyone’s coming off of the slopes,” says Chopra Jonas, who began skiing seven years ago and has become fond of the communal aspect of the sport. “I’m not the strongest skier — I’m usually on the bunny slopes with the kids — so I love that time when it turns into the magical blue hour and everyone’s coming off the slopes, and friends are getting together and drinks are being made. Everybody’s letting their hair down and taking the time to enjoy the most important things in life. So this campaign and this commercial and the whole collaboration basically stands for that.” The Ice Chalet bottle comes packaged in a reversible Perfect Moment crossbody bag that features the brand’s signature star print and houndstooth pattern — “which is super functional and extremely chic to take on the slopes

The Definitive Timeline for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Sean John Fashion Brand: Lawsuits, Runway Shows and Who Owns It Now

Sean Combs’ future may be in limbo as the hip-hop entrepreneur remains in jail awaiting trial on federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. But the high-profile allegations, to which he has pleaded not guilty, have once again focused attention on Combs’ colorful past in the fashion world and his Sean John apparel brand. In 1998, Combs was already well known as a successful hip-hop artist and the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment, a joint venture with Arista Records that helped develop the careers of The Notorious B.I.G. and others. It was also the year that he launched Sean John, his own fashion brand. Although the fashion industry was prepared to write off his venture into their world as another flash-in-the-pan celebrity brand, Combs was serious about growing and maintaining his presence in the fashion arena and he rode the wave for more than 20 years. Sean John RTW Fall 2000 Here, a timeline of the ups and downs of the Sean John brand. 1998: The Sean John label is launched as an urban fashion line. Billy Corgan and Chloe Mendel Corgan Get Ready for the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala

Billy Corgan and Chloe Mendel Corgan rarely dress in black tie for a night out, but Wednesday’s Fall Fashion Gala at the New York City Ballet was a special occasion: Mendel Corgan’s father, Gilles Mendel, was the designer of this year’s gala performance costumes.  The pair, who are currently expecting their third child, got ready in their House of Gilles looks in a suite at The Mark Hotel. “Billy’s been on tour for most of this year, so we’re really looking forward to a night out, just the two of us, especially with our third child on the way,” Mendel Corgan said of her husband, who fronts The Smashing Pumpkins. “Tonight is extra special because it’s in celebration of my father, Gilles, who designed the costumes for the New York City Ballet Fashion Gala’s world premiere, chaired by Sarah Jessica Parker. Billy often misses key family moments, so having him here with me and the family means the world. And of course, we’ll both be in haute couture from House of Gilles.” Mendel Corgan’s look, a black gown with Empire waist, had been selected to accommodate her pregnancy, while Corgan used the occasion to break out his custom tuxedo from his wedding, which

There are few events that can bring Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown, “Baby Reindeer” star Richard Gadd and a Sabrina Carpenter concert together in one room. But that’s the beauty of the Time 100 lists, which celebrate leaders across industries. On Wednesday night, Time toasted its 2024 Time 100 Next class, which highlights the here-and-now personalities defining current culture, with a dinner held at Chelsea Piers. Guests included current honorees and list alums including Kaia Gerber, Adria Arjona, Kingsley Ben-Adir, country star Shaboozey, jazz musician Laufey, Christian Siriano, Victoria Monét, Kat Graham, Brandon Blackwood and “Chicken Shop Date” star Amelia Dimoldenberg. Laufey, who recently attended the Chanel show in Paris, was dressed in a pink lace jumpsuit from the brand’s spring Haute Couture collection. “I’ve been wearing all pink this year, so it’s a very fun way to continue that,” the musician said. “It’s like the most beautiful version of a Pierrot kind of outfit. Sarah Jessica Parker, Andy Cohen, Brooke Shields and More Dress Up for the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala

Fall gala season is upon us in New York, and the crop’s most fashionable affair returned to Lincoln Center Wednesday night: the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala. The night drew guests including Sarah Jessica Parker, Andy Cohen, Laverne Cox, Nina Dobrev, Hari Nef, Brooke Shields, Dianna Agron, Tiffany Haddish, Nicole Ari Parker, David Burtka, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Justin Theroux, Bridget Evertt, Sarita Choudhury and more, who posed along a red carpet outside in the plaza before mingling around the fountain for cocktails.  Shields was one of the first to arrive, soon followed by Gilles Mendel, who designed the costumes for this year’s performance “Beneath the Tides.” Mendel was joined by his daughter, Chloe Mendel Corgan, and her husband, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins. “It was very chill. My kids were there bouncing off the walls,” Corgan said. “And she’s expecting a third, so we have a lot going on,” he added, motioning to his wife’s belly. Corgan was wearing his wedding tuxedo for the night, which his father-in-law had made for their 2023 wedding. It was only his third time wearing it.  “We were joking today because I was like, ‘We’ve never gone out to a black tie event together and we’ve

The 10 Best Under-Eye Patches That Fake a Great Night’s Sleep, Tested by Editors

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. A pair of under-eye masks aren’t going to change your life or make you look 10 years younger. But anything that helps you take care of your skin and have fun in the process is a good thing. To our editors, the best under-eye patches are prized accessories in a well-rounded skin care routine — and self care routine, for that matter. Compared to other areas of the complexion, the skin around our eyes is delicate and thin. This means that our eyes are often the first place to show signs of fatigue, dehydration, or a poor night sleep by way of swelling and dark circles. Under-eye patches are designed as deep treatments for a quicker improvement in your skin concerns than you’d see with a classic eye cream. But do under-eye patches work? That depends on your expectations, according to our experts. They won’t give you an instant eye lift nor will they cure dark circles for good, but they can provide a temporary improvement in the look of fine lines, puffiness, and sallowness. Here’s Why Embryolisse’s Lait-Crème Concentré Is the French Face Cream That Beauty Insiders Whisper About

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Some beauty products earn their icon status with celebrity endorsements and multi-million dollar campaigns, others quietly become cult favorites by word of mouth. In a sea of paid beauty sponsorships and product placements that feel a little too obvious, learning about a beauty product through whispered-about rave reviews is, well, refreshing. That’s how many makeup artists, beauty editors, and industry insiders come to fall in love with Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. Embryolisse’s face cream has been a French pharmacy mainstay for well over 70 years: In 1950, a Parisian dermatologist created the simple, nutrient-rich cream as a solution to patients’ myriad skin concerns. In short order, Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré elbowed its way into makeup artists’ kits and into American travelers’ suitcases on outbound flights from Charles De Gaulle. (In 2019, Embryolisse officially began selling the face cream in the U.S.). Simplicity is the main draw to Embryolisse’s moisturizing cream. In a crowded skin care market, Embryolisse’s face cream stands out for its ultra-short ingredient list and its versatile uses, earning it a coveted spot on WWD’s list of the Greatest

The 8 Best Sheet Masks for an Instant Glow, Tested and Reviewed by Editors

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Sheet masks sit on the periphery of an essential skin care routine: Your face sunscreen, moisturizer, and retinol products are going to pack the most benefits in the long run. That said, there’s a time and place when we want a little pampering and a boost in radiance, and the best sheet masks deliver on exactly that. “The idea behind sheet masks is that you create a somewhat more potent effect [than serums or lotions] by the occlusion of the mask,” says Boston-based board-certified dermatologist Dr. Ranella Hirsch. This occlusive effect refers to the physical sheet mask’s ability to seal the active ingredients onto the skin for increased benefits. “Moisture and occlusion always help make ingredients absorb into the skin better, and that is essentially what sheet masks do,” adds New York-based, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Kavita Mariwalla. WWD Shop editor Claire Sullivan tests top-rated sheet masks near WWD’s office in New York City. Whether you use a sheet mask daily, weekly, or simply from time to time, there are options to address skin woes of all kinds by choosing your active ingredients wisely. If you’re

It was really memorable.” The show’s surprises included none other than Willem Dafoe walking the runway, which Shipka says was as cool to experience from the front row as to be expected.  “There was a shift.
