Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham fans can rejoice as they get to see their Fast & Furious characters Hobbs and Shaw once again. After the stupendous success of the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, the makers are currently developing the sequel.

During Instagram live Q&A, Dwayne Johnson confirmed that they are currently working on the script and trying to figure out the creative and direction of it. "We are developing now the next film, the next [Hobbs & Shaw] movie, and I'm pretty excited about it. Just gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we’re going to go." He thanked the fans for making the spin-off a huge success.

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprised their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in the first installment.  In the film, when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves. It was directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2).

Is Ekta Kapoor miffed with Kartik Aaryan? Apparently the Queen of Soaps offered him a feature film. Yes, Ekta does produce films as well. But Kartik turned the lady tycoon down. Much to her shock and dismay, apparently Ms Kapoor, not used to being turned down, has not taken this snub very well.

Salman Khan lost a family member this week. The actor’s nephew Abdullah Khan died in a Mumbai hospital on Monday, March 30, due to heart failure. He was 38. The Dabangg 3 actor took to social media to mourn the latter's death. On March 31, Salman Khan shared a picture of himself with Abdullah and wrote, "Will always love you...."

However, Salman Khan and his family are upset that they won’t be able to attend Abdullah’s funeral amid nationwide lockdown. Since the family is in Panvel and there are restrictions, he won’t be able to travel. Abdullah’s body has been taken to Indore which is his hometown where the last rites will be performed. Salman will visit the family later.

Salim Khan said that Abdullah was his nephew’s son and was very close to his family. Even during these times, the procedures were done smoothly. He said that they took necessary precautions before the body was taken to Indore via an ambulance.

As per reports, Abdullah suffered from diabetes and was admitted to Dhirubhai Kokilaben Ambani Hospital after he felt uneasy. After Salman Khan got to know about his health, he was shifted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai.

Priyanka Chopra is doing her bit amid coronavirus pandemic. The actress, who is stationed in Los Angeles with her husband Nick Jonas, has announced that she will donate $100,000 in total to aid women who have been working in the industry amid this crisis or serving in security forces.

In a video, Priyanka Chopra said, “I hope you all are safe, this is a crazy time.” Talking about the campaign, she wrote, “Our worlds changed quickly, and needless to say, we couldn’t go forward with our original plans to launch this campaign. Just like some of the celebrities who were travelling, actress Juhi Chawla was abroad along with her husband Jay Mehta and kids Jahnavi and Arjun. They had scheduled their Austria trip on March 1 followed by London vacation.

Speaking to a daily, Juhi Chawla revealed when they were in Austria, the situation had started to become grim. It was only after when they reached London, the Indian government announced the Janta curfew along with restrictions on international flights. Since the Coronavirus pandemic had hit India, the foreign travellers were being checked at the airport and have made mandatory to stay indoors for 15 days as a precautionary measure.

Juhi Chawla revealed that whilst they were in London, they reached out to Indian High Commission for help and they assured that they could travel back to Mumbai safety. Juhi and her family returned on March 20 and since then have been in quarantine.

Bollywood Hungama had revealed that Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up with Siddharth Anand on an action film, which is a part of YRF’s 50 years celebration called YRF Project 50. We also informed our readers that the film will be announced in April. However, following the coronavirus pandemic across the nation, the workings in the film industry came to a stand-still and not much is known if YRF will go ahead with its plan of announcing a slate of releases in April.

However, we can confirm that the pre-production of Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Sidharth Anand had already begun and the same has hit the road block. “It’s a big scale action film, which was to be shot across the globe, and Siddharth Anand was planning to go on a recce to explore several virgin locations. However, he has dropped the plan now owing to the travel ban, and will go on a recce only once everything settles down,” revealed a source close to the development.

In the meantime, the director is working from home towards fine tuning the script and is in constant touch with both Aditya Chopra and SRK through video conference. The trio is also discussing other aspects of the film such as scale of action, probable locations, budget and working on the timelines of the shoot. “The idea was for SRK to shoot for two films this year – the Siddharth Anand actioner and Rajkumar Hirani’s feel good drama. But it is all a wait and watch scenario and there lies a strong possibility of his comeback film post Zero getting delayed further,” the source added.

Shah Rukh Khan’s last was a box-office flop, and ever since then the actor has taken time off to read scripts and retrospect on what went wrong. According to sources, he has rejected over 30 scripts in a span of last 2 years, and has finally decided on three of the most exciting stories, which will be shot one after another in next two years. The three scripts include Rajkumar Hirani, Sidharth Anand, and Raj and DK. Rajkumar Hirani is also working towards fine tuning his script. He is still contemplating on Ali Abbas Zafar’s Mr India and Atlee’s mass action film, which is being scripted. Actor Randeep Hooda is all set to make his Hollywood debut with the Netflix original film Extraction. The film directed by Sam Hargrave stars Chris Hemsworth and the screenplay is written by Joe Russo.

On Tuesday, an excited Randeep Hooda took to his social media handle to announce the release date of the film. “20 years after I thought I’ll make a showreel to work over there. It finally happened. Kanika Kapoor, the 'Baby Doll' singer, has tested positive for coronavirus for the fifth time in a row. She is undergoing treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow. As per reports, doctors have been carrying on sample tests on the patients every 48 hours. They need to have atleast two negative reports!

After many speculated that the singer’s health was worrisome and that she was in ICU, Dr RK Dhiman, Director, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow recently dismissed all such rumours that she is very sick. He said that Kanika Kapoor is asymptomatic, stable and doing well. The singer has been eating food normally.

A day ago, Kanika Kapoor took to Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Going off to bed. Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys. Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative. Waiting to go home to my kids and family...miss them!”

Kanika Kapoor was hospitalized on March 20 after she returned from London on March 9 and the visited Kanpur and Lucknow. She has tested positive for coronavirus, four times in a row.

In the fight against COVID-19, the country is under lockdown putting a halt on all shooting and other work in the entertainment industry. The lockdown has drastically affected a lot of daily wagers in the entertainment industry.

To support them, the Federation of Western India Cinema Employees has started a fund to support the daily wagers. Rohit Shetty, who is known for his philanthropy, has made a donation of 51 lakhs towards FWICE for the welfare of the daily wager.

E! News reported, " Blake and Ryan made a personal donation of $100,000 to each of the four hardest-hit hospitals in New York including Elmhurst, NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai and Northern Westchester."

Earlier this month, the couple donated $1 million to Feeding America. Taking to his Instagram, Ryan Reynolds said that he is hoping everyone will lead too. "Blake & I are donating $1 million to be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. If you can give, these orgs need our help," he wrote. Ryan continued, "Take care of your bodies and hearts. Leave room for joy. Call someone who's isolated and might need connection."

Kajol and Nysa have recently returned from a trip to Singapore. The mother-daughter duo cut their trip down due to the Coronavirus outbreak and flew back home as soon as they could. For months now we have all been wondering what RRR, the title of S S Rajamouli’s film meant. It turns out that the maverick director was trying to get the rights of the title Raghupati Raghav Rajaram. Having failed to acquire it, the RRR acronym was given another interpretation altogether.

The RRR now stands for Rise Roar Revolt in Hindi (and never mind if those words are in the English language). In Telugu it is Roudram Ranam Rudhiram and in Tamil it is Irattam Ranam Relattiram. All the conflicting multi-lingual interpretations to the RRR acronym could be a problem.

Rajamouli’s film titles have always been pithy, mostly one-worded like Eega, Magadheera, Baahubali. This is the first time he has selected multiple titles in different languages for the same film. Could be a matter of conflict for the film’s box office interests?

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has revealed that they are working on Ramayan trilogy via Facetime group calls amid the current scenario.

Nitesh Tiwari recently said that all films will get delayed by four months in the wake of the current crisis. They have been working on the film via Facetime since all the team members live in different parts of the country. He said that he can’t set a timeline on the trilogy yet but revealed that the film will be made in 3D. Nitesh Tiwari further said that they are prepping for the film but they are far from going on floors.

The filmmaker also denied approaching Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone for the film. The massive trilogy will be produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Arjun and Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's PM CARES Fund plans to deal with situations such as the ongoing battle with the Covid-19 pandemic.

India is currently under a 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of the virus.

Besides Diljit, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kartik Aaryan among others have donated for PM-Cares Fund.

A month ago, it was reported that Jacqueline Fernandez is set to team up with Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan in an upcoming historical drama which will be helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi. While details of it are kept under wraps, it's been learnt that the film will be set in the 1980s.

Jacqueline Fernandez visited Hyderabad quite a few times this year to meet Krish and Pawan Kalyan for the film. She has reportedly alloted 40 days for the shoot. She plans to begin shooting once the restrictions are lifted and the situation gets better amid Coronavirus Outbreak. Lavish sets will be erected for the film. The actress will sport different avatar with heavy jewellery for her period avatar.

Pawan Kalyan reportedly began shooting in February earlier this year. The new schedule will begin once there is clarity on when the film productions can resume work.

Meanwhile, there are also reports stating that Jacqueline might headline action drama produced by Madhu Mantena.

Sony Pictures has announced that they are delaying three of their releases this year. Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the movies that were to release in summer 2020 have been pushed to 2021 now due to theatre shut down in many countries and current health crisis. The Spider-Man spinoff movie Morbius starring Jared Leto, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and the video game adaptation Uncharted have been postponed.

Morbius, starring Jared Leto, was scheduled for July 31 release. It has been delayed until March 19, 2021. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease. Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, originally scheduled for July 10 release, has now been pushed back to March 5, 2021. From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, it is a story of a single mom and her two kids who arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan. The film stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd.

Tom Holland's movie Uncharted was going to be released on March 5. It will now release on October 8, 2021.

People across the world are facing a tough time with the outbreak of COVID-19, which the WHO has declared a pandemic. India, too, like many other countries have gone in a nationwide lockdown. Over the weekend, PM Narendra Modi announced the creation of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) and urged everyone to make donations and support this noble cause.

Several celebrities have started contributing to the cause. Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra have pledged to donate Rs. 21 lakh to PM-CARES Fund. Sharing the news, Shilpa took to social media and wrote, "For humanity, our country, & fellow citizens that need us; now is the time, let’s do our bit.@TheRajKundra & I pledge 21 lacs to @narendramodi ji‘s PM-CARES Fund. During this period of lockdown, fitness enthusiast Shilpa Shetty has been sharing videos of home workouts encouraging people to stay fit. Shilpa and Raj Kundra recently became parents to a baby girl, which has surely kept them busy.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shilpa Shetty will next be seen in the film Nikamma alongside Abhimanyu Dassani and Sherley Setia. She will also be seen in Priyadarshan’s film Hungama 2.

With popular shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Circus among returning to the TV channels amid nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus, Mukesh Khanna starrer Shaktimaan is also returning to Doordarshan. The actor recently revealed that not only is the show coming back, but there’s also a sequel in works too.

Speaking to a daily, Mukesh Khanna revealed that they have been working bring out the second edition of the show for the past three years. The actor said that it will be contemporary but rooted in our values. They are working on the sequel since the audience wanted to know what will happen next. Since the show will be aired amid the lockdown, the actor said that he will be in a better position to work on the sequel after the crisis since the demand is higher than before.

A 3D animated series on Shaktimaan was also announced and the trailer was launched at Comic-Con India last year.

While the country has come to a standstill because of the coronavirus outbreak, many people who are at home are utilising the time to work on their skills. Bollywood shoots came to a halt well before the nationwide lockdown was announced. However, that has not stopped filmmakers from prepping for their film.

In an interview with a news agency, director Neeraj Pandey who will next be making the film Chanakya starring Ajay Devgn said that they are prepping for the film while practising social distancing. He said that the crew is constantly discussing the project on phone or mail. From the VFX to concept to production design, the heads of all the departments have been keeping in touch.

Talking about the film going on floors, he said that it is too early to suggest that the shoot of Chanakya will be affected. This is the first time Neeraj Pandey will be collaborating with Ajay Devgn. Ajay plays the titular characters, a master economist and royal advisor to the first Mauryan emperor Chandragupta.
