Herbivore Appoints Kendo’s Sandy Saputo CEO

Natural skin-care brand Herbivore has hired Sandy Saputo as chief executive officer. Sandy Saputo has been appointed ceo of Herbivore.  Blink Inc Previously, Saputo was chief marketing officer of Kendo Brands, the beauty incubator owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Saputo led the team behind the global launch of Fenty Beauty in 2017, and also helped to more than double the Ole Henriksen business. Before Kendo, Saputo was chief marketing officer of Bare Minerals, which is owned by Shiseido. Prior to that, she spent eight years with Procter & Gamble, leading global professional and mass hair brands. At Herbivore, which recently raised a $15 million series A round led by Silas Capital, Saputo will oversee growth. The business is said to have done about $50 million in retail sales for 2019. “[Herbivore founders] Alex [Kummerow] and Julia [Wills] have created iconic products that are as efficacious as they are beautiful, with a differentiated brand essence that has built a devoted social community,” Saputo said in a statement. Hiring was part of the founders’ plan with the additional investment, they said in an August interview with WWD.
