The TikTok-Loved On Cloud 6 Shoe Is Now Available in Summer 2025’s Trending Butter Yellow Colorway

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Butter yellow is one of the biggest color trends of this season. Surprised? You shouldn’t be, as the spring 2025 runways were absolutely flooded with it, with a range of takes perfectly demonstrating the color’s versatility. At Chloé, it allowed a soft suede jacket to look even softer and more feminine; on Toteme’s runway, butter yellow was responsible for making models appear as if they were draped in soft morning light, and, in Chanel’s interpretation, the color looked as ethereal as ever in billowing, semi-sheer separates. In the celebrity sphere, the mellow pastel can’t stop showing its face, either. Dubbed “Hollywood’s hottest hue,” it’s been co-opted by everyone from Katie Holmes and Kate Middleton to Timothée Chalamet at the 2025 Oscars. And now, the butter yellow trend is extending its reign into footwear, too. Getting in on all the buttery hype, Swiss sneaker brand On just dropped its buzzy Cloud 6 runner in a pale yellow called “Blonde,” and it’s safe to say we’re ordering multiple pairs immediately. The Cloud 6 shoe, which retails for $150 and is offered in both

Diamonds, Dynasties and Drama: Marie Antoinette’s Smuggled Pink Diamond Resurfaces, Heads to Christie’s Auction

Christie’s forthcoming “Magnificent Jewels” auction will feature a bevy of historic pieces, including a diamond once owned by Marie Antoinette. The live auction will take place on June 17 at New York City’s Rockefeller Center and feature the Marie-Thérèse Pink Diamond. The purple-pink modified kite brilliant-cut diamond featuring 10.38 carats holds an estimated value between $3 million to $5 million. The piece is believed to date to the mid-18th century, per Christie’s, and holds with it storied lore regarding its past owners. Marie Antoinette’s Storied Marie-Thérèse Pink Diamond is part of Christie’s “Magnificent Jewels” auction. Courtesy of Christie's According to Christie’s, Marie Antoinette trusted her most valuable jewels with her faithful coiffeur on the night before her failed escape from Paris in 1791, in the hope of retrieving them one day. Unable to escape the ongoing revolution, Marie Antoinette never saw her jewels again. The pieces from the Queen of France‘s famous collection were passed down to her only surviving child, Duchess Marie-Thérèse de Angoulême, and then to her niece, Duchess Marie-Thérèse de Chambord. While details remain unclear, it is believed the Marie-Thérèse Pink Diamond was part of the inheritance. The Story Behind Jackie Kennedy’s Cartier Watch: A Royal Gift With ‘Traces and Clues of Her Life’ Revealed

The V&A’s latest fashion exhibit showcases the iconic, world-renowned jewelry brand Cartier, and among its dazzling display of diamonds is a timepiece steeped in history: the Cartier watch once owned by Jackie Kennedy. According to Sunita Kumar Nair, author of “CBK: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy: A Life in Fashion,” this display is particularly meaningful: “This is an incredible moment, for the general public to see a historical timepiece from the Kennedy legacy, particularly Jackie’s,” Kumar Nair said. “It wasn’t included for public eyes until now, which is an excellent example of how she still remains an important part of our cultural legacy and how there are still parts of her life yet to be unravelled.” The 18-karat gold watch has the original band worn by the former first lady. Courtesy Christie's This storied accessory has journeyed through the ages. Its significance dates back to 1963, when President John F. Kennedy launched a fitness initiative, challenging the population to walk 50 miles, hoping to inspire Americans to become more active. Jackie’s brother-in-law, Prince Stanislaw “Stas” Radziwill, who was married to her sister, took part in the trek. Jackie intermittently joined the walk, offering support and encouragement along the way. In commemoration of the experience, Stas gave her the

The Art of Timeless Design

Hidden within the bustling streets of New York City is Casa Cucinelli, an oasis of timeless elegance that mirrors the serene beauty of the Italian countryside. It is here where Carolina Cucinelli, vice president and co-creative director of Brunello Cucinelli, recently sat down for an interview with Alex Badia, style director at WWD, to reveal a milestone moment for the luxury brand: the launch of the brand’s first women’s handbag. The discussion focused on craftsmanship, sustainability and the “feminine voice” shaping Brunello Cucinelli’s future. A Sisterhood in Design: Collaborating on the BC Duo When asked about the impetus behind the launch of the BC Duo handbag, Cucinelli described it as an intimate foundation born from a collaboration between her and her sister, Camilla Cucinelli. Despite years of co-creating designs for the brand, this project was a uniquely personal venture. “It was beautiful because we both wanted to create something dedicated to us — not just for clients similar to us,” Cucinelli said. The name “Duo” encapsulates their relationship, a harmonious interplay between sisterhood, duality and their shared creative vision. While remaining deeply rooted in the brand’s identity, the handbag represents a subtle departure toward the contemporary, reflecting the sisters’ unique perspectives. Regarding the vision

Facial Filler Fatigue Explained: How Deep Plane Facelifts Are Changing Conversations Around Reverse Aging Techniques

Searches for “Kris Jenner” have become synonymous with searches for “deep plane facelifts” ever since she stepped out in Paris last week sporting a smooth complexion and a tight visage like never before, according to the beauty and wellness app, Fresha. The reality star, who openly admitted to getting a facelift in 2011, increased the online interest in the surgery by 213 percent, per Fresha, though she’s never admitted to undergoing the procedure in the past or more recently. Yet, the uptick in Google search for deep plane facelifts seems to indicate that people think they’ve found an answer to their reverse aging query.  Introduced by Dr. Sam Hamra in the 1990s, a deep plane facelift is a surgical technique different from the traditional facelift. According to Dr. Arnold Breitbart, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon based in New York, the deep plane focuses on the deep layers of facial tissue below the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) instead of pulling the skin or tightening the surface layer of the face. “This approach repositions the deeper facial muscles and fat pads to restore youthful contours in a more natural and longer lasting way,” Dr. Breitbart told WWD.  The incisions are also smaller, starting from the back

Riviera Reels

The 2025 Cannes Film Festival officially closed Saturday with the anointing of newly minted Palme d’Or winner “It Was Just an Accident.” The award thrust Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi into a rarefied group of directors to win top honors at Berlin, Cannes and Venice, the so-called “Big Three” international film festivals. (The others so honored, Henri-Georges Cluzot, Michelangelo Antonioni and Robert Altman, make for a circle of legendary good company). The prize ceremony marked the end of two weeks of celebrating the best in world cinema from one of the most gorgeous places on Earth, events most of us could only watch from environs far less glamorous than Cannes’ La Croisette. Even the lucky few who did attend have likely disembarked to their more humdrum hometowns. Thank heavens, then, for good old movie magic, which can bring the French Riviera home with the click of a remote. Most silver-screen sojourns to the region begin with Alfred Hitchcock’s trés charmant 1955 classic “To Catch a Thief.” And with good reason. Watching Cary Grant’s reformed larcenist John “The Cat” Robie attempt to clear his name after a spate of new seaside burglaries never grows old. His mission is intensified by a romantic pas-de-deux

Hermès Launches Headphones as Its Bespoke Division Expands Into Sound

At Hermès, there are personalized products — and then there is Ateliers Horizons. Nestled behind a steel gate on a nondescript side street in the Paris suburb of Pantin, this discreet workshop houses unexpected treasures. A canoe? A foosball table? A jukebox? Horizons can customize all these, and more, not to mention the handbags that make up the bulk of its special orders. Don’t even think of trying to bypass the French luxury house’s notoriously long waiting lists by tapping the workshop for a classic Birkin or Kelly. Instead, imagine bags shaped like a birdcage or a pineapple. “We are trying to be a bit crazy every day,” says Axel de Beaufort, creative director of Ateliers Horizons since 2012. With a degree in naval design and architecture from the University of Southampton in England, de Beaufort has the chops to handle the atelier’s large-scale projects like boats, private jet interiors and cars. He likes to stop by the Horizons showroom to admire the C28 Aérosport, made in 1935 by French manufacturer Avions Voisin, that takes pride of place on the ground floor. Working with a professional restorer, Hermès made the leather interiors of the silver Art Deco-style model, of which only a handful were produced. Axel

Sarah Jessica Parker Changed Her Hairstyle for Gen Z’s Controversial Trend with a Slicked Side Part at the ‘And Just Like That…’ Season Three Red Carpet

Sarah Jessica Parker parted ways with her staple hairstyle on Wednesday night to channel an early 2000s aesthetic that’s highly controversial in the beauty world. The “Sex and the City” star, best known for serving wild curls as Carrie Bradshaw, stepped out for the “And Just Like That…” season three photocall at the Crane Club in New York City, donning a slicked side part and mermaid waves. Parker, who reprises her “Sex and the City” role in the new Max original series, usually goes for a clean middle part, on and off screen. However, the actress switched it up and swept two-thirds of her hair over to the right side of her head. She did, however, keep her trademark coloring: bleach blonde highlights with dark brown undertones. The style was crafted by her longtime glam partner, Serge Normant, whose celebrity client list also includes Demi Moore, Emma Roberts and Nicole Kidman. Melania Trump Sports Prada Suit for Take It Down Act Signing

Melania Trump appeared to be all business to join President Trump for Monday’s signing of the Take It Down Act. Wearing a double-breasted gray Prada skirt suit, the first lady not only spoke at the podium about the legislation, but she cosigned it after President Trump did. The first lady had lobbied for the bipartisan bill that is meant to curb online exploitation and the nonconsensual sharing of sexually explicit videos and photos on Capitol Hill earlier this year. The legislation includes artificial intelligence-generated fakes. The first lady’s signature was not standard procedure for Rose Garden signings. The Prada ensemble was not a new purchase, but a suit that Trump wore last year for a European magazine photo shoot and another event that was not open to the press, according to her stylist Hervé Pierre. The designer suit, which is in a feint plaid, was said to have been purchased at Prada’s Madison Avenue store in New York City. Coincidentally, Infusion de Rose Eau de Parfum is a fragrance by Prada Beauty. President Donald Trump looks on as first lady Melania Trump signs the Take It Down Act. If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. If you deal with acne, odds are that you think twice before applying anything new on your skin — forbid the wrong serum, moisturizer, or makeup primer causes a flare up. Sunscreen is a non-negotiable in all skin care routines, and the very best sunscreens for acne-prone skin types will keep your skin calm and covered this season. Regardless of your skin type, tone, or texture, sunscreen is vital for preventing skin cancer, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles. In fact, daily use of a facial sunscreen with a minimum SPF 15 may reduce your risk of developing melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer, by a whopping 50 percent, according to a 2011 randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Though most dermatologists agree that SPF 30 is the sweet spot for everyday coverage — particularly in the summer, when the sun’s rays are stronger. Starbucks Workers Go on Strike to Protest New Dress Code

More than 1,000 Starbucks baristas from 75 locations in the U.S. have initiated a strike on Sunday in response to a new dress code implemented by the company, a union representing the coffee giant’s employees reported on Wednesday. As of Monday, the company has simplified its dress code to highlight its signature green apron. According to the coffee chain’s updated policy, baristas can wear any black shirt, whether short- or long-sleeved, collared or button-up, paired with khaki, black or blue denim pants. Starbucks previously said it would provide two branded T-shirts for staff members at no cost. The new dress code affects employees at company-operated and licensed stores in the U.S. and Canada. In April, Starbucks Workers United sent a letter to the Seattle-based coffee maker as “a formal request that no change to the current dress code be implemented at Union-represented stores until the parties conclude bargaining.”  On Wednesday, Starbucks said that the strike was affecting its 10,000 company-operated stores in the U.S. to a limited extent. Phil Gee, a Starbucks spokesperson said, “Thousands of Starbucks partners (employees) came to work today ready to serve their customers and communities. The biggest update to our dress code is simple: wear a black shirt

Morgan, L’Oréal Paris, Mastercard, Nespresso, TikTok and Kering, among others.
