Everlane, known for its transparent prices and closet essentials, just released its first-ever designer collaboration with Marques’ Almeida. The popular London-based brand, known for its creativity around sustainability and denim, has tackled reworking Everlane classics using surplus fabrics into updated, elevated pieces.  Since Everlane’s inception in 2010, the brand’s focus has been on transparent pricing, working on using sustainable practices, with a pledge to stop using virgin plastics in their clothing and packaging. Marques’ Almeida, founded in 2011 in London by Portuguese designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, is focused on high-end womenswear but is credited for reinvigorating the distressed denim trend due to their consistent use of denim in their collections — even though they only began including jeans in their collection in 2015.  The 18-piece collection, which tops out at under $300, features a variety of clothing, from loose knit cardigans to an already sold-out patchwork denim skirt. With pieces like a tie-dye slip dress, the collection feels perfectly ready for summer, even with the inclusion of an oversized cashmere women’s sweater, ideal for chilly nights and fluctuating weather.
