Sam Smith Makes Paris Fashion Week Runway Debut in Dramatic Looks at Vivienne Westwood’s Fall 2024 Show
Sam Smith walked the runway for the first time during the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear presentation on Saturday as part of Paris Fashion Week. The singer donned two dramatic looks from the Renaissance-inspired collection. Sam Smith The “Unholy” singer first appeared wearing a layered multicolored look. The ensemble consisted of a light green long-sleeve top and a pair of bottomless checkered print shorts. The two pieces were styled with a combination scarf-shawl in burnt orange with checkered prints, socks and a pair of heeled plaid platform boots. For extra drama, Smith accessorized with a wooden walking stick. For Smith’s styling, the star wore a long black wig. Spilling slightly onto Smith’s face, the wig was pushed back with a headband crafted in the same plaid textile as the high-waisted shorts. Sam Smith “The menswear in the Renaissance was quite interesting. There was all these laws against wearing too-revealing clothes. In Florence they’d put you in prison because at one point the men really let it all hang out,” creative director Kronthaler told WWD backstage. Sam Smith Smith’s second look was an all-black ensemble that featured a mesh halter top and a floor-length ruffled long-sleeve wrap dress.
