Libertine Announced as Fashion Sponsor for 2026 Whitney Museum Art Party
While 2025 is coming to a close, next year’s party schedule is already starting to line up. The Whitney Museum has announced the full slate of sponsors for its Art Party, scheduled for Jan. 27. The annual event, which draws a crowd of young supporters to the museum after-hours, will be supported this year by L.A.-fashion brand Libertine, along with Aesop, Faena, and Dobel Tequila. Popular downtown DJ The Dare will headline as the evening’s musical performer, along with artist Raúl de Nieves, as guests browse through the museum’s galleries. The cocktail benefit is led by the museum’s Whitney Contemporaries, a group of young supporters. Co-chairs for this year’s event include artists Martine Gutierrez and Emma Safir, and stylist Micaela Erlanger, who is marking a milestone year with the event: 2026 is her 10th year serving on the Art Party host committee. Proceeds from the evening will support the Whitney’s Independent Study Program, which supports emerging curators and artists at the postgraduate level. The museum also recently announced the 56 artists and collectives who will participate in the Whitney Biennial 2026, which debuts March 8. The biennial survey exhibition of American art is one of the city’s most anticipated cultural moments, and this yearFollow WWD on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook.
