The Best Loafers for Women to Wear This Summer, From Classic Leather to Ruched Suede

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. 2025’s third quarter was a notable season for loafers, per the Lyst Index — where the same silhouette across two different labels dominated the trend forecasting platform’s hottest products list. Saint Laurent’s Le Loafer and The Row’s Eel Loafer clinched second and fourth place in the roundup, respectively. Almost a year later, we’re seeing the styles pop up once more in pop culture references (think Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s ensembles in the hit Hulu show “Love Story”), sported by celebrities on the red carpet, and photographed on the feet of It-girls worldwide. Originating in Norway as a practical measure for fishermen and achieving notoriety stateside with the help of G.H. Bass’ Weejuns circa the 1930s, the loafer has kept its status as a cult classic while being open to inventive reimaginings across time: now sold textured, printed, heeled, and in numerous other variations. If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. In this world, nothing can be said to be certain except death, taxes, and a new On x Loewe collab dropping every season… or whatever it is Benjamin Franklin once said. Indeed, the Swiss performance running brand and premium Spanish maison can’t seem to get enough of each other — the result being a constantly updated roster of technical-meets-lifestyle footwear that got off the ground all the way back in 2022. Spotted on the runways and Jonathan Anderson’s feet alike, the buzziest collaborative sneaker models from the two sartorial giants have included the hero Cloudtilt, the Cloudventure, and the Cloudsolo: all unified by subtle co-branded touches, a hyper-obsessive attention to detail, and steep (but ultimately worth-it) price tags. For summer 2026, On and Loewe decided to give the aforementioned Cloudtilt a high-top makeover, unveiling an all-new Cloudtilt Hi shoe that can be shopped directly at on.com. What’s also for certain is that this style is guaranteed to go the way of the Dodo in mere weeks, since many sizes are already plagued by “Notify Me” verbiage. explore on and loewe's latest collection Courtesy

This time around, Belmont Cameli will be bringing fewer clothes.  The 28-year-old actor, in the midst of a major breakout thanks to Prime series “Off Campus,” is still in New York wrapping up press for Season One at the time of this interview, and is due back on set in Vancouver in a mere five days to begin work on the second season.  “I’m so sick of going back to storage that I’ve just been traveling with two pairs of pants in one bag,” Cameli says. “Last year when I went to Vancouver, I brought way too much s–t — which ended up being fun because I hosted everyone on Friday nights [for] costume parties with all the clothes I had. The Best Women’s Gold Watches of 2026 for Every Occasion

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Forget the straw bag and the CBK-style oval sunglasses: This summer’s hottest accessory is something that has been present in women’s jewelry boxes since time immemorial. Portable ladies’ timepieces were invented in 1810, transforming from pocket watches into something wearable by being connected to a bracelet. Once reserved exclusively for the rich-and-notable, watches for women entered the mass market in the early 1900s, after which point their designs became deeply rooted in the prevalent aesthetics of the time: from the rectangular cases of the Art Deco period to the precious stone dials of the ’70s. Jeremy Scott Reflects on Viral AI Commencement Speech

Before delivering his now-viral commencement speech for the Kansas City Art Institute on May 16, Jeremy Scott wasn’t sure how his words were going to land. It was two days after Gloria Caulfield was booed during her commencement speech for the University of Central Florida, in which she praised AI as the next “Industrial Revolution.” So Scott had reservations about opening his own speech with AI-generated text. But shortly into his speech, the fashion designer ripped up his notecard and revealed the words were a gimmick, before launching into his own take on the importance of authenticity in art and design. “ I was really nervous,” Scott said on Tuesday night in New York, shortly after the video of his speech went viral. “I’m still toying with talking about AI,” he added. “A lot of people feel like, ‘Oh wait, I understand it’s a tool.’ And I understand that in a very artistic manner, a person can still be very creative. I don’t dispute that. But the means in erasing humans’ involvement in it, I think has already been shown pretty clearly that people don’t like it,” said Scott, pointing to the negative reaction to J.Crew’s use of AI models in a

The Best Water Shoes to Buy Online in 2026 (That Still Manage to Look Cute)

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. If you consider Memorial Day the full-fledged start of summer, then the hottest and happiest season is finally upon us. What this also means? Your warm-weather hobbies, from kayaking and tubing to waterpark-attending and beach-rotting, are once again going to involve water — and the act of stepping into water. To ensure this process is as slip-free and comfortable as possible, the best water shoes for women and men should be treated as one of summer’s most important footwear purchases. When shopping for shoes you can wear while swimming, snorkeling, or even hanging out on a boat, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind: primarily how snug-fitting the style is (without ever entering into blister territory), how easy it is to take on and off at will, the number of drainage points it features to prevent waterlogging, and whether or not its outsoles ace the balance between the lightweight and the high-traction. Multiple summertime activities require trekking to and from a body of water — think aforementioned kayaking expedition — so a good water shoe also needs to be one in

Inside the Cultural and Commercial Boom of Saudi Beauty

Saudi Arabia’s beauty sector is undergoing a transformation that is both commercially significant and culturally defining. What was once a fragmented landscape of small, founder‑led labels has rapidly evolved into one of the Middle East’s most dynamic consumer categories. And it’s a market that consumers, retailers and investors can no longer afford to overlook. With a young population, high per‑capita spending and a deep cultural connection to beauty and self‑expression, the kingdom is now cultivating a homegrown industry with global potential. At the center of this shift is a powerful trend: localization as a competitive advantage. Saudi beauty brands are not simply adapting global formulas. Instead, they are designing products that respond directly to the region’s climate, skin tones and cultural preferences. From lightweight, heat‑resistant foundations to hair care tailored for humidity and texture diversity, these brands are solving problems that international players historically misunderstood or ignored. The Saudi Shopper This evolution is being accelerated by Saudi consumers themselves, who have become some of the most influential beauty shoppers in the region. They are digitally savvy, highly engaged and increasingly vocal about what they expect from brands. Their preferences include authentic storytelling, clean formulations and culturally resonant branding, which is shaping product pipelines and

Katie Holmes Honored at American Ballet Theatre Spring Gala

On Wednesday night, American Ballet Theatre brought a taste of the Metropolitan Opera House to Cipriani 42nd Street. The ballet company headed to the midtown venue for its annual spring gala, with dancers — and a ballet — in tow. The evening kicked off the upcoming summer season while raising support for the company, and paid tribute to longtime supporter Katie Holmes. Guests included ballet and theater lovers, including “Hadestown” creator Anaïs Mitchell, Timothée Chalamet’s mother Nicole Flender, choreographer Anne Imhof, Constance Wu, Zac Posen, Fernando Garcia, Iris Apatow, Jeremiah Brent and Nate Berkus, Katie Couric, Michael and Victoria Imperioli, and more. The ABT company dancers were the first to arrive, walking the red carpet in black-tie before heading backstage to change into costume for their performance of “Don Quixote.” The popular ballet has been restaged by ABT artistic director Susan Jaffe for the summer season, and gala guests were offered an abbreviated staging (which included a projection of windmills across the ceiling of the former bank) during dinner. “ It is so beautiful in here,” said Apatow as she took in the room’s decor, which included an orange glitter photo wall backdrop framed by potted displays of orange Mokara orchids. “I know we’re

‘Ragtime’ Star and First-time Tony Nominee Ben Levi Ross Is Taking It All In

A few hours after “Ragtime” claimed five Drama League awards last Friday, Ben Levi Ross was back in his dressing room at the Lincoln Center Theater, and getting ready to continue doing the work that has established the musical as an awards season frontrunner.  “I just keep saying to myself, ‘Even though you’re tired, take everything in, take every second in, keep your eyes open, look around,’” says Ross. “Because this is rare, and this does not happen all the time.’” In fact, it’s the 28-year-old actor’s being nominated (and eligible) for a Tony award. In recent weeks, he won Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for his featured performance in the musical. If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Charly Clive on ‘Rooster,’ Working With Steve Carell, and Finding Comedy in Vulnerability

It’s been nothing but positive feedback for Charly Clive since her show “Rooster” arrived on Apple TV. Fans have come to love the “relaxing” tone of the show, as well as the dynamic between Clive’s character Katie and her onscreen father, played by Steve Carell. While the collection was not explicitly an homage to Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor, several of the aesthetic choices for the models and designs harkened back to the two-time Oscar-winning actress’ career.
