Destination Maternity Gets $50 Million Stalking Horse Bid from Marquee Brands
Bankrupt retailer Destination Maternity has received a $50 million stalking horse bid from Marquee Brands, subject to a higher bid at bankruptcy auction. Marquee Brands is owned by Neuberger Berman, an employee-owned investment manager. Marquee Brands and a joint venture composed of Hilco Merchant Resources, L.L.C. and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, L.L.C. entered into an asset purchase agreement, whereby they propose to purchase Destination Maternity’s e-commerce business, intellectual property, store-in-store operations and the right to designate the sale of certain inventory and related assets, according to a filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del. The agreement provides for the buyer to sell or otherwise designate the disposition of inventory, fixtures and equipment and the designated assets through store closing sales at the 235 stores where closing sales are not already in process, and will oversee the wind down of Destination Maternity’s leased stores. In the event Destination Maternity completes an alternative transaction, there is a break up fee equal to 3.5 percent of the purchase price of $1.75 million, and a provision for reimbursement of reasonable and documented fees and expenses not to exceed $750,000, according to the filing. Salman Khan launched the song ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ from his upcoming film, Dabangg 3 yesterday. Obviously the song is extremely groovy and catchy, Salman Khan had a great time while the shoot. At the song launch yesterday, Salman Khan spoke about a lot of things and even praised the Millennial Munni, Warina Hussain and his debutant co-star, Saiee Manjrekar.
When the host said that the Dabangg 3 has been in the news for quite a long time, Salman Khan gave a witty answer. He said, “We stopped talking about Dabangg 3 much before we started shooting. We started talking about Dabangg 4.”

But the designer is breaking with recent tradition by collaborating not with a fine artist, but a man equally famous for his distinctive penmanship: Shawn Stussy. The founder of the Stüssy brand, whose signature first appeared on his handcrafted surfboards before becoming one of the world’s most recognizable clothing logos, has been largely absent from the fashion scene since leaving the brand in 1996, with the exception of a brief return under the S/Double label a few years ago. Twinkle Khanna's grandmother Betty Kapadia passes away, Akshay Kumar & family keep funeral a private affair
Veteran actor Dimple Kapadia’s mother Betty Kapadia, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, passed away on Saturday in Mumbai. The family chose to keep the funeral private with family and close friends in attendance.
On Sunday, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, and Dimple Kapadia were snapped by the paparazzi at the funeral. Also seen at the funeral were Sunny Deol and Rishi Kapoor.
Twinkle Khanna, Akshay Kumar, and family had celebrated Betty Kapadia's 80th birthday in Lonavala in October. Sharing the pictures, Twinkle had written, “Grandmother’s 80th with family, friends and loads of laughter #ShilimDiaries.”
Betty Kapadia was married Gujarati entrepreneur Chunnibhai Kapadia and they had four children — Dimple and Simple Kapadia, Reem and Munna.
