It's raining remakes in Bollywood in the last few years. And two production houses that have been game changers in this department have to be Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and his good friend Murad Khetani's banner Cine 1 Studios. After the blockbuster Kabir Singh, Murad Khetani bagged the rights to remake Amitabh Bachchan starrer Namak Halal. That's not all. Now, he has also bought the official remake rights of Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor's cult classic Tezaab.

A source shares, "There were two producers who were eying the remake rights to Tezaab. Murad Khetani fetched it for a little higher price than his counterpart. He plans to put the whole project together once he is done with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel and the Thadam remake. He also has Namak Halal and Tezaab will be his fourth remake to be precise."

The makers plan to modernise the script keeping the essence intact. Tezaab remake will star two new age actors and it's yet to be known if Madhuri and Anil will return as well. The whole thing is being scripted at this point. Watch this space for all updates...

Around 10 days back, Bollywood Hungama had reported that the makers of the much awaited film, Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai, starring Salman Khan, are all set to unveil the theatrical trailer of the actioner in the first week of April 2021. In February, the team of the film had decided to first launch a teaser of the film followed by the trailer. But the plan was changed and instead of a teaser, a new poster of the film was launched on March 13, that is, exactly two months before the film’s release. This poster featured only Salman Khan and it got fabulous feedback. The idea is now to follow up with a grand, exciting theatrical trailer which would further up the film’s buzz.

And now it has come to light that the theatrical trailer launch plans are slowly coming to life. A source reveals, “Some time back, the producers of Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai – Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Atul Agnihotri – submitted the theatrical trailer at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for certification. Last week, the CBFC passed the trailer without any cuts and with a U/A certificate. The total length of the trailer is 2 minutes 43 seconds.” The certification was granted to the theatrical trailer on March 24, 2021.

Last month, a source had told us, “The theatrical trailer is very well cut. It comprises all the massy elements of the film right from Salman Khan’s dialoguebaazi, action, rivalry with Randeep Hooda, romance with Disha Patani, etc. Salman Khan’s fans are in for a treat this Eid.”

There have been talks of another biggie, Sooryavanshi, might not release as per the schedule on April 30, 2021. The rising cases of Coronavirus, especially in Maharashtra, and the resulting curbs and night curfews in different parts of the country might lead to the postponement. The source informs, “It’s a wait and watch situation for every film right now and Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai is no exception. As of now, the plan is on to bring it on Eid.”

Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai is all set to release on May 13, 2021. Directed by Prabhu Dheva, it also co-stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda.

Last year, Bollywood Hungama was the first to inform that Shah Rukh Khan had begun shooting for Pathan, an action-packed drama after almost two years of being away from the sets of a film. The actor stars alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in War director Siddharth Anand's out and out action film. The film is included in YRF’s 50 years slate. The next schedule begins on April 2 with John and SRK ready to come face to face.

According to a tabloid, Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham will shoot confrontational and action scenes from April 2 onwards at Yash Raj Films studios in Mumbai. Deepika Padukone is expected to join the two actors from April 5 onwards. It is going to be a marathon schedule after which the cast and crew will fly to Russia for an overseas schedule. The makers have already begun working on the abroad schedule as the two actors are set to shoot some major action scenes till June. Deepika Padukone is also joining the team for the action-packed schedule in Russia. The plan is to release the film in early 2022.

John Abraham has been busy completing Satyameva Jayate 2 whereas he has already wrapped up the first schedule of Ek Villain Returns. He will be seen in a lean look in Pathan as he faces off SRK.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone play RAW agents with Dimple Kapadia essaying the role of the head of the department. Salman Khan has a cameo in the film and he shot for it for 10 days in February.

Superstar Rajinikanth will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2019. The Award is the country's highest film honour. The news was announced by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar earlier today.

“Happy to announce Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2019 to one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema Rajinikant ji. His contribution as actor, producer and screenwriter has been iconic," Mr Javadekar tweeted.

Just like the National Film Awards, the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards also got postponed by a year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The jury that selected Rajiniknath for the award included singers Asha Bhosle and Shankar Mahadevan, actors Mohanlal and Biswajeet, and filmmaker Subhash Ghai.

PM Narendra Modi took to his twitter handle to congratulate Rajinikanth on the honour. "Popular across generations, a body of work few can boast of, diverse roles and an endearing personality...that’s Shri @rajinikanth Ji for you. It is a matter of immense joy that Thalaiva has been conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Congratulations to him," he wrote.

Rajinikanth made his acting debut in 1975 with the Tamil film Apoorva Ragangal. His last few releases include Kaala, 2.0, Petta, and Darbar last year. The superstar will next be seen in Annaatthe.

Bappi Lahiri’s son Bappa who was in Los Angeles pursuing a musical career is back in Mumbai to look after his father. Sadly Bappa can’t meet Bappida, given the Covid situation.

Speaking to me Bappa says, “My father is stable now. But he is in the ICU. He was detected with a mild Covid 19 infection on Wednesday. But the reason for concern is, he already has a pulmonary condition. He is in Breach Candy hospital. We can’t meet him. He is under Dr Udwadia’s supervision. We are relieved that he is getting the best care possible.”

Trying not to get overly worried Bappa says, “It’s tough because Dad is alone. We are not allowed to meet him. He has never been alone. Either our Mom or one of us my sister Reema or me, have always been with him.”

Speaking to me in an earlier interview Bappida had said, “I am fortunate to have a wife and children who are so close to me. I never need to worry about anything. They take care of everything.”

About the Covid situation Bappida had said. “It is very frightening. I advise everyone to remain indoors as much as possible. Luckily for me, my music doesn’t need travel. Not these days. I can compose and sing from home.”

Actor Kirti Kulhari, who was last seen in The Girl On The Train, has announced separation from her husband Saahil Sehgal. The actress said that the separation is not on paper but in life.

Taking to Instagram, Kirti wrote, "A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on papers, but in life. A decision that's probably harder than the decision of "being with somebody", because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about."

"And the decision of "not being with somebody" brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It's not easy. Guess it is not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS.," she added.

Kirti went on to say, "To all those who really care, I am in a good place and hope everyone who matters in my life is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and Onward... Always."

After being called out for her recent absence from limelight during important political events, Kirron Kher’s fellow party member Arun Sood revealed the reason. The actress-turned politician has apparently been battling Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Kirron Kher has been an active spokesperson for the party and her recent absence has led the opposition party to raise a few questions. Answering on her behalf, Chandigarh’s BJP president Arun Sood spoke in detail about her medical condition during a press conference.

He said, “She had suffered a broken left arm at her Chandigarh house on November 11 last year. After her medical tests at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder. For treatment, she had to go to Mumbai on December 4. Even though she is recovering after her four-month treatment and no longer admitted at Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, she has to visit the hospital regularly for treatment.”

Neither her husband Anupam Kher nor son Sikander Kher have spoken about the same or confirmed the news yet.
