Clé de Peau Beauté and Artist Cj Hendry Bring ‘Flower Market’ to Roosevelt Island

This weekend — and only this weekend — 100,000 flowers are in bloom on New York’s Roosevelt Island. Artist Cj Hendry and Clé de Peau Beauté have unveiled “Flower Market,” their immersive installation of plush flowers, at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park. Visitors are invited to “pick” a flower from the exhibition to take with them; additional flowers, along with floral-themed merchandise, can be purchased. The beauty brand and artist hosted a VIP preview of the installation on Thursday night ahead of its public opening. Hendry, who’s been working on the collaboration for the past two years, described the exhibition’s official debut as “magical.” “Seeing the crowd walk into the installation and their initial reaction was priceless,” said the Australia-based artist, whose photorealistic drawings found a large audience initially through Instagram. “What surprised me most was how much people wanted to interact with the flowers — there was this instinctual desire to touch, hold and explore them. It was exactly the playful, immersive vibe I hoped for. Watching people reconnect with that childlike sense of wonder felt incredibly rewarding.” Martha Stewart Jordan Roth The installation features 20 different types of flowers, inspired by the botanical ingredients incorporated in Clé de Peau

Megan Park on Her Second Feature Film ‘My Old Ass’ With Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza

“The Fallout” director Megan Park began working on her second feature with a vague concept and bold title: “My Old Ass.” “The title was one of the first things that I came up with,” Park says of the film, which was released in theaters Friday. “I didn’t know where the story was going to go or what was going to happen necessarily — but the title, it set the tone for me.” It’s mid-August, and the 38-year-old writer-director is in New York for press, including an outdoor screening of the film later that evening on the downtown waterfront. “My Old Ass” premiered during the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and is getting a theatrical release nine months later, just as summer begins its transition to fall.   “It feels like a really good time of year for it to come out,” says Park of the release date. The film takes place during the summer before the main character heads off to their freshman year of college. “That was our dream.” While selling the movie, the title became a litmus test, one that Amazon and MGM passed. “People who got the movie understood the title,” Park says. “And once we were at Amazon, it was never

Michael Urie Is in His Dreamy Era

“It’s been a dreamy couple of years,” says Michael Urie on a Friday afternoon phone call, just hours before a performance of his latest Broadway show “Once Upon a Mattress” at the Hudson Theatre. These dreamy years have also been busy ones for the star, who rose to fame for his role as Marc St. James on the sitcom “Ugly Betty.” Now, Urie stars in the hit Apple TV dramedy “Shrinking” alongside Harrison Ford and Jason Segel — season two premieres Oct. 16. He has also taken the stage by storm over the past couple of years, starring in Broadway’s revival of “Spamalot” and now the revival of “Once Upon a Mattress,” which also had a stint at New York City Center in the winter. While both shows feature Urie in showstopping musical numbers, he never considered himself to be “very musical.”  Michael Urie in “Once Upon a Mattress.” “Doing a musical at all, it’s still a pinch me thing,” he says. “I fell in love with theater because of musicals…[but singing] didn’t come naturally to me.”  Urie continues: “I wasn’t going to be in ‘Les Mis.’ I wasn’t going to be in ‘Phantom.’ I wasn’t going to be in these big singing musicals. EXCLUSIVE: Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s Lemme Wants In on the Ozempic Boom

Lemme is betting big on weight loss supplements.  On Monday, Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s supplement brand will launch its Lemme GLP-1 Daily, $90 or $72 with subscription, a weight management capsule formulated with three clinically studied and patented ingredients: Eriomin lemon fruit extract, Supresa saffron extract and Morosil red orange fruit extract. Rather than employing synthetic GLP-1s like the drugs on the market, Lemme’s supplement aims to naturally increase the body’s GLP-1 levels over time. This new launch, which will be exclusively available on the brand’s website, rounds out Lemme’s metabolic-centric lineup, which also includes Lemme Burn, $40, said to boost metabolism and burn fat, and Lemme Curb, $40, a cravings support supplement. It also comes on the heels of the brand’s Lemme Curb, $30, chew launch, a new format in the lineup. “There’s so many incredible benefits [of GLP-1s] outside of weight loss and appetite control, whether it’s reduced inflammation, slower aging, increase in energy, helping to support healthy hormones,” said Kardashian Barker’s business partner Simon Huck, calling this latest launch a “powerhouse sku” combining the best of the brand’s other two metabolic offerings. “It’s one of the reasons why Kourtney was so excited, and we’re so excited to launch this product.”  Lemme GLP-1 Daily In a

Getting Ready for Michael Kors With Mindy Kaling

“I love the Michael Kors show. We share the same initials,” said Mindy Kaling, from the car en route to the designer’s spring 2025 show. The actress and producer, who has attended the designer’s shows a few times now, was making her last stop of NYFW at the Kors show before immediately catching a flight home to see her kids. For Michael Kors, she got to take advantage of the temperate New York weather and wear one of the designer’s gray wool coats.   “I’ve been working for 20 years and I’ve gone to a lot of fashion things, but I’ve never worn outerwear as a dress. So it’s so exciting to wear this timeless, beautiful tweed coat. It feels like a really kind of luxurious staple for Michael Kors,” she said. “But I love that it’s a little sexy because I’m wearing it with nothing underneath, which is kind of fun.” In addition to sharing initials, Kaling is a fan of “the kind of women that he’s drawn to and wants to include in these events.”  “Fashion can sometimes have the reputation of not necessarily being so inclusive of people of different images and you see these incredible performers and political women, just

Gwyneth Paltrow, Colman Domingo and More Celebrate Boucheron’s Opening in New York

After a chaotic week of running between shows and parties, the Boucheron cocktail party Tuesday evening — held in the garden at the Cooper Hewitt museum with a lullaby of a performance by Leon Bridges — felt like a much-needed balm. That is, once you actually made it up to 91st Street.  The jewelry brand was celebrating the opening of its first New York boutique, and installed an immersive exhibit in the museum called “From Paris to New York: A Cutting-edge Journey Since 1858,” which shows off the brand’s 166-year history of pieces. The exhibition deposited guests out into the garden, where sparkling rosé was passed, couches had been arranged and mingling commenced. The night was attended by many a Hollywood star, each more glittering in jewels than the next. Gwyneth Paltrow, Colman Domingo, Hailee Steinfeld, Cole Sprouse and girlfriend Ari Fournier, Mina, Alexa Chung, and Anja Rubik were each outfitted in Boucheron gems. Other guests included Nicole Ari Parker, Aly Raisman, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Camila Coelho, Leni Klum, Pritika Swarup and Tina Leung.  Paltrow posed for photos alongside François-Henri Pinault before finding her husband, Brad Falchuk, in the crowd. The two found a seat on one of the couches and held hands as cameras
