The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested Bollywood and TV actor Gaurav Dixit after getting ‘MD’ and ‘Charas’ from his house.

As per ANI, "NCB arrested TV actor Gaurav Dixit after MD and Charas was recovered from his residence in a raid. He has been arrested in connection with the interrogation of actor Ajaz Khan."

The NCB official said that Gaurav will be produced in court for custody.

Earlier in April, NCB found large quantities of illegal drugs at his residence in Lokhandwala. As soon as the actor and his friend spotted police at their house, they fled away and since then they were on the search of him.

Gaurav is known for acting in films, TV and commercials. He has worked in Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, Dahek: A Restless Mind, The Magic of Cinema and Ganga Ke Paar Saiyan Hamar. He also starred in a TV show titled Seeta Aur Geeta.

The trade source adds, “Pathan is turning out to be an insanely awaited visual extravaganza that will set screens on fire. Sidharth Anand and Aditya Chopra want to redefine Indian cinema on the world map and every attempt is being made to achieve this goal.”

Actress Kishwer Merchantt and Suyyash Rai, a television couple, welcomed a baby boy recently. They announced the news on social media, along with a cute photo of their baby, whom they called Baby Rai.

Kishwer and Suyyash captioned the photo, “27.08.21. welcome BABY RAI!!! It’s a boy. #sukishkababy.”

Kishwer Merchantt, a model-turned-actor, announced her pregnancy in March of this year. She uploaded pictures from her baby shower, which was held in June. In an Instagram post, Kishwer described her pregnancy as a full lockdown pregnancy, saying she had envisioned a different journey, but the lockdown allowed her to spend special time with her loved ones.

Kishwer also documented her nine-month journey to motherhood on her YouTube channel. The 15-minute film, titled We Are Pregnant, featured the couple discussing the moment they found out they were expecting a child. In the video, Kishwer mentions being able to conceive naturally at the age of 40. “Never say never — it was so right in our case. When we had the test come positive, for a few minutes, there was pin-drop silence between us. We just didn’t know how to react.”

In 2016, Kishwer Merchantt and Suyyash Rai got married.

The reports of the modern day mythology, The Immortal Ashwathama getting shelved came across as a shock to the industry. The reports stated that producer Ronnie Screwvala decided to put the film featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan indefinitely on hold due to budget issues. And now it has come to our notice that the team of this modern day superhero saga has suffered massive losses.

"Ashwathama has been in the prep stage for over two years now. The team did multiple recces, worked on the entire pre visualisation, did multiple meetings with the VFX team, got an international action unit on board to train Sara and Vicky for their action packed role over the last one year. Producer Ronnie Screwvala spent over Rs. 30 crore to get everything in place, and now, the entire investment has gone for a toss," a source shared with Bollywood Hungama.

The source further adds that the decision to shelve the film has been taken after the producer was not on the same page as his director, Aditya Dhar taking the budget and creative aspects. "After investing a considerable chunk, Ronnie realised that the final budget of the film was going out of control and it would be difficult to recover the money even in the non Covid times, The film was initially planned to be made in a certain amount of budget, but as the pre-production work kicked off, the budget kept on increasing by the day. Finally, he felt that it's better to let go off the investment of Rs. 30 crores, rather than burning his pockets in the longer frame of time. He had a meeting with his investors, actors and director and finally took the tough call of shelving the film," the source added.

The source insists that the film is completely shelved for now, and Ronnie has asked all the talents to find another script. However, the industry is unpredictable and he may just revisit the script a couple of years down the lane if he feels confident enough to invest the money in it. "He loves Aditya Dhar after working with him on URI, but has taken a practical call over here, as reality scores over emotions for him. Aditya is yet to decide on what to do next, whereas Vicky and Sara have already started to find new projects to kick off in the time allotted for Ashwathama," the source informed.

Ronnie, Vicky and Aditya have worked on URI: The Surgical Strike, which is among the biggest blockbusters of Hindi cinema in the last few years. The trio was expected to replicate the success of URI with Ashwathama.

Director Aanand L Rai is known for his unique perspectives and his ability to infuse humour in seemingly normal stories. His Tanu Weds Manu franchise proves that the filmmaker holds entertainment and humour by the scruff. The filmmaker had earlier made an announcement about his upcoming film titled Raksha Bandhan with Akshay Kumar which they started filming in June. The film’s first schedule was completed shortly after. And now, the director will soon be starting with the next leg schedule of the family drama which will begin from 10th September in Delhi with the film’s lead cast and other cast members which include Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, who play Kumar’s sisters in the film.

Raksha Bandhan is jointly written by Rai’s frequent collaborator Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon. It stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles and revolves around the love, bonding, and attachment between a brother and his sisters. Raksha Bandhan is Rai’s second collaboration with Akshay Kumar after his musical romantic drama Atrangi Re which also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan. Of late, the filmmaker has been giving a steady dose of entertainment as a producer with several films such as Tumbbad, Manmarziyaan, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, and Haseen Dilruba. With him returning to the director's chair with two consecutive films, it’s going to be a cinematic extravaganza at the screens for the audience.
