The event, which will honour some of the most stylish individuals in the world of entertainment, has been creating quite a bit of buzz since its announcement. Following the announcement, we had also unveiled the logo of the Bollywood Hungama Style Icons which is curated and directed by Cinema Waale Film and Television Productions LLP & produced by Across Media Solutions.

Now, we reveal the final date for the function. So get ready for a night of glitz, glamour, and of course a star-studded affair with the function being held on March 24, 2023 at J W Marriott, Juhu in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar is all set to return to the big screen with his Raj Mehta directed comic drama, Selfiee, which pits him alongside Emraan Hashmi for the first time. The Karan Johar production is all set to release on February 24, 2023 and is carrying positive reports in the industry circles. However, in an odd scenario for the first time, the fans are not aware about the date of other Akshay Kumar films for 2023. The Khiladi has films like Oh My God! 2, Capsule Gill and Udaan already in the postproduction stage.

A source informed Bollywood Hungama, "Akshay Kumar's next two theatrical releases after Selfiee will be Oh My God! 2 and Capsule Gill. The two films will be released in the window of April to July. These two will be followed by Udaan." While the industry has been buzzing with the news of some of Akshay's films taking the OTT route, we can confirm that all 3 will be theatrical releases.

"The order of release may change, but all 3 are theatrical films. There is also a possibility of Udaan to arrive before Oh My God! 2 or Capsule Gill. Akshay is just waiting to chart out his release calendar in a certain way to spike enough excitement for all his releases. All 3 films post Selfiee are close to his heart, and he wants to be sure on the release period," the source further told Bollywood Hungama.

Apart from the four films, Akshay also has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan lined up for release. The Ali Abbas Zafar directed film is an action packed entertainer with him and Tiger Shroff and is set to release during the Christmas 2023 weekend.

The makers of the upcoming thriller Afwaah, Anubhav Sinha and Sudhir Mishra are all set to release their film on the big screen on February 24, 2023. The film has already grabbed everyone’s attention with its quirky pairing of power performers Nawazuddin Siddiqui, & Bhumi Pednekar and is now gearing up for theatrical release.

Producer Anubhav Sinha says, “Working on Afwaah was creatively fulfilling as a producer. Sudhir and I have been friends for many years and I am happy to bring this film to the audience. It is an intriguing story and the performances of powerhouse talents like Bhumi and Nawaz only add weightage and gravitas to the characters. ”

Director Sudhir Mishra shares, “Afwaah is a thriller which speaks of a very important message in the current times. I am glad that the release date is finally out and I am really looking forward to its release. The super-talented combo of Bhumi and Nawaz have given their best to this unconventional story and I am sure the audience is going to love watching them on the big screen.”

Producer Bhushan Kumar adds "Afwaah is a very unique story set in the roots of India and I am really glad to be associating with the team. The power-packed team of Afwaah has done a brilliant job and this is something that will be worth a watch for movie lovers. I am happy to present it to the audience.”

Directed by Sudhir Mishra, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, Sumeet Vyas, Rockey Raina, and TJ Bhanu. Afwaah is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks. The film is set for a theatrical release on February 24, 2023.

Not too long ago we had reported that how Gujarat multiplex association requested for police intervention owing to multiple threats they received during the Pathaan release. While the film is expected to hit the big screens on January 25, ever since the release of the song ‘Besharam Rang’ last month, it has been facing backlash from some Hindu community groups for various reasons which also includes the film being a part of the Boycott Bollywood trend on social media. Amidst the controversy, Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose last film Laal Singh Chaddha faced a similar situation in certain areas of India, opened up about this trend and requested people to not continue it because it will lead to the end of the entertainment industry.

Kareena Kapoor Khan recently attended the Indian Chamber of Commerce-Young Leaders Forum event where she opened up about this trend, "If that happens, how will we entertain? How will you have the joy and happiness in your life, which, I think everybody needs! Agar films nahi hogi toh entertainment kaisa hoga (If there are no films, how will everyone get entertained).” For the unversed, the Boycott Bollywood trend kick started with many taking objection to films that offended their sentiments. While Laal Singh Chaddha faced some protests because of certain remarks made by Aamir Khan years ago, Pathaan has been facing issues because of a saffron bikini worn by Deepika Padukone in the song, ‘Besharam Rang’. Besides that, many of them have also taken objection to certain dance moves in the film.

However, these are not the only films who have been a victim of Boycott Bollywood trend on social media. Even big budget entertainers like Brahmastra as well as the Akshay Kumar film Rakshabandhan were slammed by social media users.

Coming to Kareena Kapoor Khan, she has addressed this trend yet again after she spoke up about it even during the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, wherein she had even requested everyone to watch the film instead of boycotting ‘good cinema’. Despite the requests, the film failed to take off at the box office.

A few days back, there were reports about the teaser of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan likely to be attached to the print of Shah Rukh Khan’s keenly-awaited upcoming action thriller Pathaan. Now it is official that the audience will get a glimpse of Bhai in the upcoming film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

The news is shared by the veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his official Twitter page. He shared an image of the announcement and wrote, “SALMAN KHAN: 'KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN' TEASER WITH ‘PATHAAN’... Teaser of #SalmanKhan's #KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan with #Pathaan... #Eid 2023 release.”

Sharing the announcement Salman Khan as well took to social media posting an image saying, “#KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan Teaser ab dekho bade parde par on 25th Jan...”

Directed by Farhad Samji, the film was earlier titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali but was later changed. Produced by Salman Khan Films, it also stars Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill. Going by Salman’s look in the film, it is yet another action saga featuring him.

Along with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the audience will also get to see the trailers of the Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi-starrer Selfiee and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, with Pathaan.

Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, Pathaan is an action thriller where SRK’s titular character takes it upon himself to save India from a major terrorist attack. The film will be released in theatres worldwide on January 25.
