Boden Conjures Harry Potter Collection With Warner Bros.

LONDON — Boden is headed to Hogwarts for fall 2019 with an 81-piece Harry Potter-inspired apparel collection for kids, with pieces ranging from Hedwig intarsia sweaters to magical cloaks. Hot on the trail of Asos, which is tapping into the hype for “The Lion King” and teaming with The Walt Disney Co. to create a capsule based on the film ahead of its live-action reboot later this month, Boden has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for a one-off Mini Boden collection. It features bespoke prints, one-off styles, and unique embroidery inspired by Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. The collection will run from newborn through age 16, and will launch on Aug. 5. A further collection will land on Oct. 7, timed with Halloween and Christmas. The range has been designed in-house by the Mini Boden design teams. Each piece is unique, with intricate prints, embroidery and motifs in velvets, tulles and knits, and will only available from Mini Boden. Details include color-change sequins, fluttering appliqués and 3-D detailing on tops, capes, trousers and dresses. Designs inspired by Hogwarts castle are embellished with embroidery and sequins, while spells and symbols adorn waistbands, dresses and trousers.
