Best Dressed at 2025 Oscars
The 2025 Academy Awards mark the grand finale of the awards season. Fad dressing was nowhere to be found on the best dressed of this year’s red carpet; rather, superchic, ultra-glamour won out. Topping the list was Demi Moore, who glistened in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé crystal-embroidered gown with a plunge neckline and pleated hip detailing, complete with dramatic train. She also led one of the big trends of the night: metallics. Another such trend was corset construction, and the winner of the category goes to Ariana Grande. Her Schiaparelli couture gown, inspired by an Alberto Giacometti lamp, featured more than 190,000 crystal sequins, rhinestones and cut beads. This modern sculptural marvel was the perfect choice for the finale of this Glinda-inspired press tour. Also in a soft pink was Monica Barbaro, in a custom Dior gown. The pleated A-line floor-sweeping skirt and beaded bra top was one of the more modern looks of the night — without compromising in old-school glamour. Selena Gomez also opted for beads, in her case a custom Ralph Lauren gown. This was her Marilyn Monroe moment.
