The Best Gold Necklaces for Women to Wear This Spring

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Like a quality watch, gold necklaces are timeless accessories — living outside of the trend cycle while appearing around the necks of society’s most fashionable year in and year out, no matter the season. The best gold necklaces for women are some of the wisest investments you can make, as they’re versatile enough to pair with practically every outfit and aesthetic under the sun: whether you want to dress up your Y2K-coded sweatsuit with a thicker chain stack or add a touch of shine to a little black dress ahead of date night. The sheer diversity of gold necklaces in 2026 is nothing short of impressive. On the Oscars red carpet this year, for instance, a prevailing style was the sculptural torque necklace — a rigid and oftentimes diamond-adorned collar seen on attendees like Rose Byrne. So too are vintage-inspired, gold coin necklaces frequently finding themselves in the spotlight these days, worn on the regular by everyone from Taylor Swift (she’s been known to turn to the brand Ben-Amun for such pieces) and Hailey Bieber to Shay Mitchell and Emily Ratajkowski. Meredith Alloway Brings Witchy Comedy Horror to Life in Feature Debut ‘Forbidden Fruits’

“I feel like I’m in a David Lynch film,” says Meredith Alloway from her home in New York’s East Village. “Like I’m in ‘Mulholland Drive.’ I’m going to wake up on my couch and it was all a dream.” The filmmaker is back in her apartment after a whirlwind experience at SXSW premiering her new movie “Forbidden Fruits,” one of the festival’s most anticipated. “This is such a tiny indie that could,” Alloway says. “When I had to introduce a movie in front of 1,200 people at the Paramount, I was having an out-of-body experience.”  “Forbidden Fruits,” which is director and writer Alloway’s feature-length debut, is a comedy horror film that follows a group of friends — all with fruit first names — who work at a boutique in their local mall. When Cherry, Apple and Fig meet Pumpkin, an employee at a pretzel store, they recruit her to join them at their store — and into their after-hours witchy coven. The film stars Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain and Gabrielle Union-Wade.  Pumpkin (Lola Tung) in “Forbidden Fruits.” Photo: Sabrina Lantos Sabrina Lantos/ Courtesy of Code Dill Productions Inc. 2025 The script is based on a play, called “Of the Woman

The 7 Best Sofas of 2026 for Making a Style Statement With Your Furniture

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. When it comes to the sofas that are reigning supreme this year, a few trends have been announcing themselves as of late and subsequently directing consumer behavior. One of them: bold hues that instantly draw in the eye and make the sofa central in any setting. Also, per home decor destination Living Spaces: modular seating arrangements that allow you to modify a sofa’s orientation and size, based on the confines of your space and whether or not your best friend is coming to crash for a few days. In the fabrics department, people have been increasingly turning to performance ones that can stand up to any wine spill, pet nail–related scratch, and mystery spot that crops up. Shape-wise, the style-savvy are prioritizing curvilinear, Art Deco–inspired sofas that break up a room’s right angles and straight lines, adding a soothing sensation of flow to it. Shopping for the best sofas online is no small feat, since, just like with a bed, it can be tough to discern exactly how the furniture in question will feel without, well, actually feeling it. The Best Straight-Leg Jeans for Women to Wear From Work to Date Night This Spring

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. The straight-leg jean is one of fashion’s most immortal creatures — cropping up season after season while showing no signs of ending its authority over the closets of society’s most style-savvy. The simple reason for why straight-leg jeans keep being featured everywhere from fashion houses’ new collections to the displays of It-girl-approved brands like Aritzia and Reformation? The silhouette, unlike its baggier or more flared counterparts, is the dictionary definition of the word “versatile.” Pair it with boat shoes, and you’ll get a “I spend my summers at Martha’s Vineyard” look. Team up the jean style with a trench coat and leather ankle boots for early spring, and you’ll become the office’s best-dressed employee. “In recent years, we’ve seen a huge shift in people moving away from the super-stretch skinnies and opting for more authentic, rigid fabrications reminiscent of vintage jeans of the ‘90s,” explains Erin Meehan, creative director of denim at Aritzia. “When seeking inspiration for the perfect rigid straight-leg, I always tend to think of those iconic paparazzi shots from the ‘90s: Cindy Crawford, Julia Roberts, and Meg Ryan so

For the past month and a half, TikTok FYPs and headlines have been dominated by a particular TV series: “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette,” part of producer Ryan Murphy’s expansive “American Story” franchise on FX. Since debuting to the tune of instant virality on February 12, “Love Story” has thrust one of the most talked-about couples of the 20th century — as close to royalty as you could get in America at the time — back into the spotlight, taking viewers on a journey through both the blissful and the turbulent moments in Bessette and Kennedy’s marriage. Public feuds and rising pressures were the through line that connected “Love Story’s” past eight episodes, alongside the kind of ’90s-minimalism outfit inspiration that sent fans scrambling to find CBK-coded tortoise-shell headbands, slinky slip dresses, bootcut jeans, and wool coats (not to mention the exact eyewear donned by her beau). The Chicest Spectator Styles for Women to Wear to the 2026 Masters Tournament

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. Few sporting events rival the spectacle that unfolds each April at The Masters Tournament. The azaleas are in bloom, the golf is world-class, and the spectator style at Augusta National Golf Club is almost as iconic as the leaderboard. The Masters has long carried an air of prestige. Founded in 1934 by golf legend Bobby Jones and businessman Clifford Roberts, the tournament was designed to be different from the start — an invitation-only event defined by heritage, exclusivity, and meticulous attention to detail. You better believe that sense of tradition extends to what people wear across its seven days of practice rounds and competitive play. Unlike at louder sporting events, Masters fashion leans timeless and polished, with attendees tending to embrace a distinctly Southern-prep aesthetic. Most importantly, the setting calls for refined pieces that can withstand a full day of walking the notoriously hilly course. @yogurlgrass i love watching vids like these. the inspo never runs out ✨⛳️👱🏼‍♀️🪡 #charlotte #pga #pgatour #ootd #golffit #golf #inspo #outfitinspo #golfgirl #style #fyp #athleticdress #trending #fyp ♬ sonido original – B.sound Dresses

Styled by Aimée Croysdill, Coughlan wore a look courtesy of Georges Hobeika. The soft green dress was a customized iteration of a look that hailed from the Lebanese designer’s spring 2026 couture collection, which debuted as part of Paris Couture Week in January. Nicola Coughlan Getty Images Originally designed in a soft pink tone, the green variation of the dress complemented Coughlan, with a flowing skirt and structured bodice. An off-the-shoulder design framed the “Bridgerton” star with long, flowing sleeves and jewel embellishments for added elements of whimsy. Claire Foy, who costars with Coughlan in the film, opted for a more structured take on whimsical styling for Sunday night’s red carpet. The actress turned to Acne Studio’s for her attire, wearing a combination of the layered shirtdress with a single-breasted suit jacket. Featuring a cool color palette, the shirtdress included a long-sleeve button-down collared shirt with a pale blue skirt and lace overlay, designed with ornate floral elements and

Lionel Boyce Blasts Off With ‘Project Hail Mary’

“It’s a breath of fresh air,” says Lionel Boyce from a green room in Midtown Manhattan a few days ahead of the release of his new blockbuster movie. The actor has been in the spotlight for years thanks to his Emmy-nominated turn as Marcus in “The Bear,” but he’s now on the promotion trail for one of the year’s most anticipated movies, “Project Hail Mary,” and it’s giving him a moment to reflect on his path so far. “I’ve had such an interesting career to me, where it started off in a place where I was making things that five people were watching, so you don’t really talk about it,” Boyce says. “And then this show happens, ‘The Bear,’ and then you’re talking about that, and it’s been a few years. So it’s cool to talk about something else that you love, that’s completely different from the other two things.” In “Project Hail Mary,” Boyce stars alongside Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller and Ken Leung as security guard Officer Carl. Initially the role was quite small, but when Boyce learned from his team who was involved in the movie he was immediately interested, no matter the scale of the role.  “I was like, ‘I’m

Martha Stewart had barely breezed into the entrance of Indochine before a martini appeared next to her on a silver tray, a lemon twist perfectly placed. The arts organization is known for its immersive themed fundraisers — summer camp, slumber party, nautical — and on Wednesday night, The Grill and The Pool were transformed into a cozy chalet for après ski. An ice bar sculpture, engraved with Art Production Fund’s event logo, welcomed guests into the space with a quick warm-up in the form of Absolut Tabasco shots. Patrick J. Adams on Grief, Family, and the Resonance of Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’

Starring in a Taylor Sheridan project had long been a goal of Patrick J. Adams, but when it finally happened he had no idea how personal it would be.  The Canadian actor, best known for playing opposite Meghan Markle for seven seasons of “Suits,” had just arrived at his family’s cottage in remote Ontario to spend some down time. It was his first visit there since he and wife, actor Troian Bellisario, had taken over the home from his mother after the loss of his stepfather.   “My mother and my stepfather, Andy, had this beautiful place that we had gone to for the last 20 years and they would spend their summers there,” Adams explains on a recent afternoon in New York. “And it’s pretty remote and far out there, and you kind of have to know how to take care of it. And because he passed away, my mother was like, ‘I can’t do it. I’m not going to do this alone.’ And Troian and I talked about it and we were like, ‘I think we should give it a shot.’” It was on their first day of their initial visit to the cottage since owning it that Adams received an audition

“Severance” star Britt Lower made the trip to Rome last week for the Valentino fall 2026 show, held at the historic Palazzo Barberini.  “Like the city we’re in, a Valentino design is steeped in history, so you feel that when you slip into their clothing,” Lower says. “Within the palette of Valentino, I feel like I’m stepping out of a Fellini film. It’s been raining all morning here in Rome, and the saturation of colors in the architecture is delicious.”  For the show, the actress and her stylist, Rose Forde, chose a trenchcoat as the star of the look, along with a pair of tall embellished boots.  “We were both immediately drawn to this trench, it felt timeless; the color, the collar stood out,” Lower says. “Paired with these boots, the whole thing feels fresh and joyous.”   Working with Forde “reminds me of working with a designer on a film set,” Lower says. “Rose and I initially bonded over our love for David Bowie and whenever we are in doubt, we ask, ‘Well, what would Bowie choose?’ And we find our answer. We look at his great legacy of style and playfulness as our North Star.” Britt Lower getting ready for the Valentino fall 2026

On April 28, model and Yves Saint Laurent muse Betty Catroux will receive the ICP’s Image Icon Infinity Award for her influence on fashion photography. Catroux will be honored at the event alongside photographers Joel Meyerowitz, Haruka Sakaguchi, Collier Schorr, and Tarrah Krajnak. The ICP Infinity Awards will be held at Tisch Skylights at the Shed and co-chaired by Jessica Nagle and Stefano Tonchi. Catroux, who has been described as Saint Laurent’s “female double” for her physical likeness and androgynous allure, has long embodied the designer’s style. Now in her 80s, the French model has remained a fixture at Saint Laurent runway shows, and was chosen by current creative director Anthony Vaccarello to star in the brand’s fall 2018 campaign. The exhibition, in partnership with Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and the Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent, will include

She returns to her hometown, hoping to be able to build a relationship with her daughter, who is being raised by her late boyfriend’s parents with help from Ledger, her boyfriend’s best friend (Tyriq Withers).   Monroe says she is “super excited” for fans of hers to see her in this new role. “It is so different.
