Kate Middleton Returns to Her Beloved McQueen Coat for St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Kate Middleton went for occasion dressing for Tuesday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade at the Mons Barracks in Aldershot, England, rewearing a green McQueen coat with additional designer pieces for the Irish heritage holiday. Middleton was mostly monochrome for Tuesday’s parade, emphasizing the color green, evocative of one of the three colors in Ireland’s flag and of the independent country’s iconic symbol: the shamrock. The centerpiece of the Princess of Wales‘ attire was her green McQueen coat. Middleton coordinated her green statement coat with a Gina Foster Millinery hat in a shade of forest green, crafted with felt fabric. With black buttons fastened to her coat, the Princess of Wales accentuated her McQueen design with black pieces throughout her attire, including black suede high heel boots by Ralph Lauren. An extra touch of symbolism included the small boutonniere of shamrock’s fastened to the lapel of the Princess of Wales’ McQueen coat.
