Lainey Wilson Gives Rimzim Dadu Look a Western Spin for the CMA Awards 2025 Press Conference

Lainey Wilson geared up for her 2025 CMA Awards hosting duties with a press conference in Nashville on Sunday, giving a Western spin to a design by Indian designer Rimzim Dadu. Wilson, styled by Alexandra Madelkorn, wore a sleeveless black fringe top with a plunging neckline and soft, sinuous lapels for her outfit by Dadu. The fringe-forward top featured delicate beadwork, creating the decorative strands and cords on the top of Wilson’s look. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande Bring ‘Wicked’ Method Dressing in Vintage Dior and Givenchy to the Governors Awards 2025 Red Carpet

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s “Wicked” method dressing got an elevated spin in looks by Dior and Givenchy for the Governors Awards 2025 red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Grande embraced her inner Glinda with a retro, one-shoulder pink gown from Christian Dior’s fall 2007 ready-to-wear collection. Curated by designer John Galliano, and sourced from Happy Isles, the gown was crafted with soft pink satin and adorned with small gemstones in various shades of pink, red and aquamarine on the bodice and skirt. Ariana Grande JC Olivera Designed with a cinched waist for added silhouette definition, the skirt of the gown cascaded with gathered fabric at the hip and gemstone detailing motif. Grande wore Christian Louboutin heels and accessorized with Swarovski jewelry, the latter for which she serves as a campaign star and ambassador. To Raise Capital, Female Founders ‘Must Not Be Afraid to Do Things Differently’

The way Anna Sweeting, founder of the U.K.-based investment firm The Equity Studio, sees it: “Money is power, and we shouldn’t be shy to talk about that.” So she said at the 2025 WWD x FN x Beauty Inc Women in Power conference, in conversation with Jefferies’ managing director of beauty and wellness investment banking, Sasha Radic, moderated by WWD senior beauty editor Kathryn Hopkins. “Women dominate consumption from a purchase-decision perspective; we make up 80 percent of creators with more than 50,000 followers on social media platforms, and we are going to be dominating social commerce,” she continued. And yet, “the [gender] disparity in funding is still present at the very start.” Indeed, while women founders have historically received a fraction of the funding of their male counterparts, the landscape today looks increasingly precarious. In 2024, Pitchbook reported the share of total VC deal value for start-ups with a female cofounder dipped for the first time since 2020. “While women get very little funding, they are exceptional operators. Dakota Johnson leaned into modern minimalism with her strapless Valentino look at the Governors Awards 2025 red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
