Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande Bring ‘Wicked’ Method Dressing in Vintage Dior and Givenchy to the Governors Awards 2025 Red Carpet
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s “Wicked” method dressing got an elevated spin in looks by Dior and Givenchy for the Governors Awards 2025 red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Grande embraced her inner Glinda with a retro, one-shoulder pink gown from Christian Dior’s fall 2007 ready-to-wear collection. Curated by designer John Galliano, and sourced from Happy Isles, the gown was crafted with soft pink satin and adorned with small gemstones in various shades of pink, red and aquamarine on the bodice and skirt. Ariana Grande JC Olivera Designed with a cinched waist for added silhouette definition, the skirt of the gown cascaded with gathered fabric at the hip and gemstone detailing motif. Grande wore Christian Louboutin heels and accessorized with Swarovski jewelry, the latter for which she serves as a campaign star and ambassador. Grande’s hair was coiffed into a chignon on the top of her head by Alyx Liu, with makeup provided by Michael Anthony. Image architect Law Roach curated Grande’s look for the evening. Styled by Jason Bolden, Cynthia Erivo channeled her “Wicked” character Elphaba in a coatdress from Givenchy’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection.
