Zendaya Brings Sensual Futurism to ‘Dune: Part Two’ Premiere in Thierry Mugler’s Edgy 1995 Robot Suit

Zendaya was living in her own sci-fi fantasy at the world premiere of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” on Thursday in London. Mugler’s robot suit was created in collaboration with artist Jean-Jacques Urcun, who developed new techniques to achieve the designer’s vision. Introduced on the runway in 1995 during Mugler’s 25th anniversary show in Paris, the robot suit was inspired by the character Futura from Thea von Harbou’s 1925 novel “Metropolis” and took six months of work.  A model wearing the robot suit during the Thierry Mugler fall 1995 fashion show in Paris.
