First Look at Emily Blunt’s Character in ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Reveals Madonna Inspiration With Jean Paul Gaultier and Wiederhoeft Designs
A first look at Emily Blunt’s character in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” was revealed on Tuesday, and her costume is channeling Madonna. The actress was spotted on set in New York City, wearing sunglasses, a bag and a shirt courtesy of Dior, with a pin-striped corset and trousers by Jean Paul Gaultier. Her look was finished with a bustier by Wiederhoeft. Emily Blunt is seen on the set of “Devil Wears Prada 2” in New York City. GC Images Blunt’s look resembles one of the costumes designed by Gaultier for Madonna’s “MDNA Tour” from 2012. Madonna is a close friend of the designer, who is credited for creating her now-iconic cone bra look for her 1990 “Blond Ambition” tour.
