Nine New Eateries, Shops and Sights for the New Year in London
London is serving up a host of new eateries, shops and sights that are sure to send heads — and hearts — spinning in the New Year. The country’s impending exit from the European Union hasn’t dampened its passion for European food and fashion, and has only fueled its desire to seek inspiration beyond the island’s borders. Here, nine places to add to your must-visit list this month: • Danish men’s wear label Wood Wood has opened its first London flagship store in Soho, adding a further dose of Scandi style to a neighborhood that’s already brimming with Nordic fashion, accessories, sticky cinnamon buns and rye bread. The new store, at 33-35 Brewer Street, serves as a showroom and creative space as well as a multibrand retailer, stocking brands such as Nike, Adidas and the Norwegian lifestyle brand Tom Wood. Designed by the Danish architecture and design firm Spacon & X, the space blends original fixtures with metal rails and wooden shelving units.
