Maria Sharapova Marks Her Hall of Fame Moment in Ethereal Gabriela Hearst Look
Maria Sharapova aced her custom Gabriela Hearst look for the class of 2025 induction at the International Tennis Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday in Newport, R.I. The five-time Grand Slam champion wore a custom ivory silk crepe back satin Brigita slipdress, courtesy of the Uruguayan women’s luxury ready-to-wear and accessories designer. Sharapova coordinated the slipdress with a silk duchesse organic wave fil coupé fur Hillman cape. Since her retirement from professional tennis in 2020, Sharapova’s maintained a strong relationship with the Women’s Tennis Association. In March, the former athlete spoke with WWD about the partnership between the WTA and UNICEF, an initiative that aims to close the women’s health gap through better health and nutrition resources for women and children worldwide.
