Burberry Hosts ‘A Good Sport’ to Cheer on England vs Croatia

“Oh my god, the burgers,” gasped a guest rather breathlessly as she spotted a tray of Corner Bistro’s signature mini cheeseburgers in the distance. And who could blame her: the famed Corner Bistro burger was one of the main draws to cut work and pop into Burberry’s afternoon party called “A Good Sport,” held during the England and Croatia World Cup match. The TVs inside the West Village restaurant were showing the game, while the space had been cleared out to allow for mingling of guests like Myha’la, Adam DiMarco, Richie Shazam, Delaney Rowe, Olivia Ponton, Indira Scott, Paige Powell, Elsie Hewitt, Ella Emhoff, Tony Ozkan and Yesly Dimate. Burberry’s creative director Daniel Lee, wearing an England jacket, snuck in the restaurant’s side entrance. Pimm’s Cups and dirty martinis circulated as new Charli XCX played overhead. Outside the restaurant a Burberry check-painted ice cream truck was parked, which guests visited during commercial breaks.  “Come on Kane!” an English fan shouted passionately to Harry Kane on the TV as the player scored.  “Do you like soccer?
