Naomi Osaka Honors Her Heritage in Hana Yagi Design for Wimbledon 2026

Naomi Osaka returned to The Championships, Wimbledon in London on Monday for the 2026 edition of the grand slam tennis tournament in a walk-on look by Hana Yagi that honored the athlete’s Japanese heritage. Osaka stepped onto court three of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club wearing a ceremonial Japanese dress with billowing long sleeves, ornate embroidery and a ruffled skirt that trailed the tennis star during her walk-on. The customary furisode, which translates loosely to swinging sleeves, gave the overall look even more depth and cultural reverence. The skirt incorporated some of the modern, playful elements Osaka’s become well-known for when it comes to her on-court looks. The four-time grand slam champion‘s long skirt featured tiered tulle fabric with a semi-sheer appearance.
