Zendaya Merges Method Dressing and Retro Finesse
Zendaya spun a web of high-fashion sensibility in a retro Giorgio Armani dress for the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” premiere in Rome on Tuesday night with husband and costar Tom Holland. Zendaya Getty Images The Emmy Award-winning “Euphoria” star wore a dress from the late Italian designer‘s spring 1990 ready-to-wear collection. The dress was crafted with a sheer overlay set against a taupe fabric, which included a strapless bodice and flowing skirt. The black overlay, however, brought the method dressing element to the forefront of stylist Law Roach’s vision for Zendaya’s red carpet attire. All over the sheer black fabric, crystallized embellishments with a web-like pattern cascaded down the sheer overlay. Small, insect-inspired gems were also added near the rounded neckline and at the hip of the sleeveless design. With a dress so sparkling, Zendaya pared back her other accessories. The actress wore a pair of Elsa Peretti snake earrings in yellow gold from Tiffany & Co. that augmented her 1920s-styled “bixie.” She also wore the Bird on a Rock by Tiffany & Co. wings wide ring in platinum with diamonds by the brand.
