Romy Paris Heads to U.K. With Harvey Nichols, Looks Further Abroad
LONDON — Skincare company Romy Paris has crossed the English Channel with a U.K. launch across 10 Harvey Nichols locations including London, Manchester and Dublin. The brand is known for a hi-tech innovation — a Nespresso-like machine that makes fresh face cream — and for the U.K. expansion, the company plans to launch an updated, second-generation device. “We have a created a new device, with new products and active ingredients. This one is much more accessible, smaller and for multi-users,” said Morgan Acas, co-founder of Romy Paris. Customers can purchase capsules with fresh, active ingredients, pop one, or a combination of a few, into the machine. It will then create an ideal dosage of skincare. “Typically skincare products, from production to shelf to the consumer, take about 10 to 15 months, which means that the product is full of preservatives and is no longer as efficient. This machine will take these capsules of active ingredients and make you a fresh product, so we can preserve its effectiveness,” Acas asserted. The device is sleek, easy to use, self-cleansing and rechargeable — so no messy cables. And, according to Acas, there is a lot of R&D that goes into ensuring the freshness of the active ingredients andFollow WWD on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook.
