LVMH’s Institut des Métiers d’Excellence Introduce New Training Programs in Italy

MILAN – LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Institut des Métiers d’Excellence has expanded its scope with two new partnerships in Italy. Founded in Paris in 2014, the luxury group’s vocational training program aims to promote, enhance and ensure the transmission of know-how that involves artisanal craftsmanship, creative and retail skills. The new training programs focus on women’s dressmaking and knitwear manufacturing. The former, kicking off in October, will enable eight students to learn the skills and techniques to become creators of exceptional garments through one-year courses at the Roman Maria Antonietta Massoli Tailor Academy, which was established in 2015 in collaboration with Fendi. “The IME-Accademia Massoli partnership is an important initiative for Fendi, confirming our commitment to transmitting unique savoir-faire in tailoring,” said Fendi chairman and chief executive officer Serge Brunschwig. “It also embodies our desire to show young generations that métiers in craftsmanship in the luxury industry represent a real opportunity. This new program with Accademia Massoli is thus a unique chance to train the tailors of the future,” he added.
