Zendaya Merges Gladiator Style With Aughts Glamour in Vintage Alberta Ferretti
Zendaya continued her “The Odyssey” press tour with an Alberta Ferretti look that merged retro style with a Grecian aesthetic in New York City on Monday. Longtime collaborator and stylist Law Roach dressed Zendaya in a look from the Italian designer’s spring 2008 collection. The dress debuted during Milan Fashion Week in September 2007 and featured several design cues that evoked the Grecian look and feel of Zendaya’s “Odyssey” press tour while also incorporating several 2000s-era trends. Zendaya GC Images The white minidress was crafted with a flowing material, with pleating running down the bodice and its V-shaped neckline. Cinched at the waist with a belt motif for added definition, the dress also included cascading sequin embellishments that extended from the bodice to the skirt in a fringe-like finish. Other elements of the Emmy Award-winning “Euphoria” actress’ look nodded to the unofficial Grecian dress code of “The Odyssey” press tour. Zendaya paired the dress with statement gladiator-style heels by Sophia Webster, featuring intricate lace-up detailing, and delicate pendant earrings by Fope. Zendaya GC Images As for glam, the actress’ “bixie” cut was styled in a bevy of curls for a playful summery variation on the look. Her makeup featured lined eyes and a glossy lip, creating aFollow WWD on Twitter or become a fan on Facebook.
