L’Oréal in Talks for Mugler and Azzaro

PARIS – L’Oréal said on Tuesday that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Groupe Clarins to acquire the Mugler and Azarro brands. “The perfume category is at the heart of our global strategy for growth at L’Oréal Luxe,” said Cyril Chapuy, president of L’Oréal Luxe, in a statement. “In this context, we would be thrilled to welcome Mugler and Azarro: These signatures, with a long history in fashion and olfaction, would perfectly complete our portfolio of brands.” The acquisition should be completed during 2019, L’Oréal said.
