Jessica Simpson put on a dazzling display on Wednesday evening while attending the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York. The singer, actress and former reality star received the Icon Award, honoring her eponymous shoe label. “[Simpson’s] special blend of on-trend, accessible style has resonated with consumers of all ages since she founded her brand with mom, Tina, in 2005,” according to a press release from Footwear News, WWD’s sister publication. Simpson opted for a sheer high-neck gown covered in crystals, which she accessorized with jeweled drop earrings, cocktail rings, and naturally, a pair of metallic platform heels from her own line. Her blond tresses were styled in loose waves, while her makeup included a nude glossy lip and muted blush. After Simpson’s business partner, Sequential Brands Group, filed for bankruptcy, she acquired full ownership of her company in 2021.
