Odyssey Retail Advisors Formed Through New Partnership

Richard Johnson has a new partner and has recast his consulting firm as Odyssey Retail Advisors LLC. The firm, formerly called Johnson Retail RE Consulting Inc., changed with the addition of Charlie Koniver. “We believe, as a combined entity, we can do more good for our clients so we wanted the name to reflect more than just my name or Charlie’s or both,” said Johnson, managing director and partner at Odyssey Retail Advisors, based at 888 Seventh Avenue in New York. The firm lists Burberry, Richemont, Stella McCartney, Away, WS Development and Crown Acquisitions among its clients. Johnson and Koniver knew each other from past job experiences. They both worked at Kering, the global luxury group, where Johnson once served as head of real estate, Americas, conducting site selection, market research and negotiations for Kering’s Gucci, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Volcom and Puma brands. Koniver was a Kering senior real estate specialist. Johnson also worked at the Greenberg Group retail real estate consultants, while Koniver had jobs at Richemont as a real estate director in North America and at Thor Retail Advisors where he was director of leasing.
